got a quote for Tahiti/Bora Bora & nearly fell out

of my seat.
$14K for 2 ppl 8 nights.

I didn't think it was THAT expensive. Holyyyyy Smokes! That's a nice chunck towards a down payment!!!

Ok I think I'm over BoraBora LOL

ahhhh yes. i dreamed of tahiti and bora bora... then we decided to buy a house. now we are most likely doing FH's uncles timeshare in the keys and disney

I got a quote for Hawaii for more days for less then that.
As much as I wanted to go to Bora Bora (after watching VinDiesel in triple X ) that idea just flew out the window !!!:

That is where my boss is currently on her honeymoon. They have all the money in the world to do that. NOT ME, TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

Yeah thats just retarded. I think Id rather save money for a down payment on house than spend 14Gs on 8 days in a country Ill probably never see again.

Yep it's very expensive... FH and I are going there but we figure this will probably be our only time in our lives (unless we win the lotto) that we'll ever get to visit such a beautiful place. It's a once in a lifetime type of thing for us.

Also, I'm quite sure the prices did not include food and drinks...that I know will run us up a pretty penny!!!

That is CRAZY expensive. I wanted to go there too. It's beautiful, but its way out of our budget.

I guess the only way i will see it is from pictures of other honeymooners. It so beautiful, why cant it be affordable

I would look around - I know a few people that went there and did not pay that much - in fact they paid close to half that price and stayed more nights. Make sure you know the room type etc. They only stayed one night in an overwater bungalow and island hopped

im going there for 10 nights! and my trip was definately alot cheaper than that..shop around!

Yeah this was an overwater bungalow with breakfast for 5 nights included.

I wanted to go there or Hawaii too...then I saw the prices.

We're doing 2 honeymoons (1 week in Aruba and 1 week in Disney) for $6000 total! That's more realistic! I want a house....

I heard its cheaper if you do a cruise instead. I also heard that there's more of a night-life on the ship. Also, you get to see more islands. I think the Tahitian Princess goes there...and you get to see Hawaii depending which one you pick.
