GOT called for jury duty today.....

I went down... was there like 1/2 hour and now I am home.. YEA a free day for me !!! ( I got excused because I am still a student.. even though I am going to get called again in 6 months... )

I had jury duty too today! how funny... where were you? I was in Queens at kew gardens. my MIL is a court clerk so she got me off by 1pm... I'm good for the next 6 years!! I was so bored sitting there. I'm so glad its over.

How sad that majority of people don't feel honored being called to jury duty.

I used to live right next to the Queens courthouse (lived in Kew Gardens)

Served on a jury for a mean man (14 counts) took about two weeks.

I was honored. I don't mind at ALL being called to duty.

I wouldn't mind if my job wasn't so difficult. Who ever get's called will leave the other person with a double shift. Plus my job does not compensate, and we use our own personal days. That is not fair nor an honor

I'll agree company's should pay more and be forced to.

But not an honor?

Well I just find it's about time someone allows ME to say 'that guy DESERVES to go to JAIL' instead of me watching TV and thinking 'how'd he get away with that?'

I feel qualified true peers of society don't serve or have a bad view of jury duty and god knows I've seen some folks in those pools. I want someone with a little more understanding to life as I live it to be my jury!!!

I had to call for jury duty 2 weeks ago and my number did not get called I know for sure in 4 years I will be called.

i think i would enjoy being on one, however i think i would be VERY paranoid that the guilty party or a friend of theirs would come after me if I found them guilty
