ohh that's a shame. Maybe you can use it to hang something else. Besides, what if the silver rubs off on your dress. I would hang my dress on plastic

i think there is mention on the website that it wont hold up the wedding dresses that you can put other things on it to take pics.

Actually on the website it said that it was a nice thing to hang a wedding dress on, but it said you can't use it for wedding gown storage (i.e. long term)... I was hoping to hang my dress from it the day of the wedding, hopefully it will be strong enough

I wouldn't put a super heavy ballgown on one, but mine seems like it will hold my dress! I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine!!! For now it is holding up my 'Sexy Little Bride' hoodie from VS :)
