Got our marriage license and had a horrible exp.

We went to the Municipal Court in Kew Gardens, Queens and all I can say is DO NOT go there!
It was a horrible experience. We got there Monday morning at 8:15am (we were 5th on the line at this point) and had to stand outside in the freezing cold for an hour. One line was for marriage licenses and next to us were a line of criminals that had to appear in court that day!! That was only the beginning! The people inside were just plain rude. We waited for over an hour just to get them to put us in the computer..then we go to the window to pay and the woman turned her back to us and ignored us for 35 minutes!!!!!! Finally she sent someone else to help 'that b*tch' (apparently I am a b*tch, even though I didn't say a word). We couldn't believe it..She was to busy eating her breakfast to bother to help us. I suggest going to Long Island to get yours! But at least it is done and over with.

OMG I went to Patchogue, Long Island of course and I was in and out in 15 min. Sorry to hear you had a horrible time.

We went to the Manhasset Town Hall on Plandome Road. W ewerein and out in 15minutes.

Does it matter where you go for your marriage license? We live in Queens but we got the license in Nassau.

I guess I'm asking this question a little too late.

I am so sorry you had to go through this! I guess we are lucky that their computer system was down the day we went there to apply for our license! They couldn’t tell us when the system will go up, or when someone is going to start to even TRY fixing it! Total ignorance and disregard for people!
We ended up going to LI and got our license in 10 minutes in Manhasset (sorry, don’t mean to rub it in).
Hey, at least you got the license and you will never have to go back to that nasty place again!

I live in Queens and would NEVER go to Queens anywhere for my marriage license which I will be getting next month.

Good grief. 1st and foremost, I too am sorry that you had to go through that.

2nd, I'd like to say that you are WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than me. I am the most non-violent person that you could ever met . . .but that nut would have pushed me over the edge...especially after 45 minutes.
