What is going on with your wedding planning right now? (Meaning guest list, parental influance....etc)
PS. I hope no one minds that since all the Grooms in 2010 are 'GAY' I thought I would change the Avatar to match accordingly.

Ours is def coming from the parents. We each have very defferent size families and the guest list isn't making things easy and def is a lot of

As of now there is no wedding drama-thankfully. I know that when we start doing the full on guest list and all that there will be drama. FH has more people to invite-family/friends and then when we do the seating charts there will also be drama, because i know with his side there is family that can't sit by certain people.

well fmil is a nightmare, she is the root of all drama....she made up her own guest list, wanted to pick out my flowers, even wanted to pick out my wedding dress!!! while help is appreciated, demanding what to get is another story.

w/ regards to our guest list, we have our immediate family/friends listed which brings us to about 80-85... i have to guarantee 125 though so i'm not limiting his parents to invite any family friends, etc. i figure we need to invite at least 150 to hit our minimum!

Right now it's all good... the seating chart is going to be something from the 9th circle of h*ll. That's when I anticipate all the drama starting.
Recently I'm getting a lot of 'so, I'm invited, right?' from people I barely know... or haven't spoken to in YEARS (Thanks, Facebook!) So that may prove to be interesting too!

we don't have any drama & there will be no drama. when we first started talking about wedding i made myself clear on how this has to be a drama & stress free planning process & so far everyone has listened to me.

the major drama so far has been the bridal party...i had in mind who i wanted but was then told by fmil that i should be including fsil....so I haven't asked my bridal party yet...putting it off til the 1 year mark.

Only drama is from my aunt, uncle and grandmother (on my mom's side) who refuse to acknowledge the engagement or wedding b/c fh is black. They can't accept that there family will be 'intergrated'. Thankfully my parents and his parents are incredibly supportive and excited.
My cousin actually decided last night she was not going to be in my wedding pary (dtr of aunt and uncle mentioned above). I'm pretty sad about that.
Our drama is with FH's family. They are weird and stupid. He's fighting with his brothers so he doesn't even know if he even wants to invite them let alone have them in the wedding party. Also his sister's he wants in the party. But he didn't ask them yet. One is in the army and one is married to someone in the army. I just know that I should save myself the trouble and not have them in it but its his family who am I to say....

I know...it's insane. But we have so many other people who are excited and happy for us that it really makes up for it!!

That's their problem. Thay will miss a beautiful wedding with a very happy and in love with each other couple.

Drama is with the guest list bc of the difference in size of our families. There is also the 'what are your parents paying for gaby??' (is this a competition or something lol...We also got told if we use a certain dj (and only this dj that she knows personally) she would only pay for that...Also the drama of my father not really accepting the fact that, yes, I am 23 and engaged...its hard to have parents that dont really accept your intentions...and its hard to hace another one who is only talking about the money part of it all...
