Gown photos

Hi, I'm curious to see what everyone has chosen, can you all post your gown pics!! And let me ask when you found ' the dress' did you just know? I've looked at so many and even though they are all beautiful , I don't feel that any of them are the one...Help!

I just knew it when I tried on my dress. My friend who was with me kept telling me that too. My mom did not believe it when I showed her the pic but once I tried it on for her and a few more of my friends, we all knew it.

It's a bit different than the rest. That's why I love it...

Good luck in your search. When you find it, YOU WILL KNOW!! Trust me... You will have that overwhelming feeling and see yourself in the mirror and will feel like a princess.

Beware- long story!

Heehee...well, I ended up with the first official dress I tried on (I don't count the first few because I didn't get to try on maggies haha). I was totally expecting this huge moment...I had seen the pic and admired it for so long, then I tried it on and loved it . But I felt that since it was my first dress, I had to try on more. But I really loved it and didn't want to take it off....

So I go to a few more salons- I try on another gown that I fell in love with. Now I was even more confused. It was soooo gorgeous, but I kept comparing it to dress #1. So...a day or two later, I try on dress #1 again...and I'm even MORE confused!! Suddenly it wasn't as special. #2 was so ornate, it made #1 look ordinary.

But still, I kinda knew it was between these two. I thought of trying on others, and I did...So I went and tried on #2 and fell in love all over again- kept staring at it, admiring it. It was just gorgeous. So I said to my mom, I think this is it- should I cancel my next appointment to try on dress #1 again? She told me to keep it.

I tried on dress #1..and it was instant. I had the reaction I was waiting for the whole time!! There was no doubt it was the dress for me! I discovered that dress #2 was about the dress- but dress #1 was about me in it- that's what you need to look for!

Sorry for the long story- but I find it so comical and typical of my drama queen tendencies!!

It's nothing what I wanted. I just kept going back to the pic and not on purpose either. So, I took it as a sign and tried it on. I knew it was the one!

I knew it was my dress because I didnt want to take it off and couldnt stop googling for more pictures of it. I tried on a bunch of dresses and felt lost in all the fabric but i felt very comfortable when I tried on my dress. I have pics of it in my album.

i think it's about a person's style, I wasn't going for the dramatic bride look. I wanted to be simple and sweet. I just felt that i'm not 16 anymore and i shouldnt chase after the princess dream, that's why my dress is so plain.

I guess my advice would be try to figure out what type of bride you want to be and the dress will match your personality.

I just finished my dress shopping, so I'm still current on the dresses out there, fm me if you have any questions!

I loved my dress and it was one of the last ones I tried on. I actually went to the store to order a different one but I was so fidgety in it. When I tried on this one, I was just comfortable, I felt like a princess and I wasn't looking away from the mirror to try to peek at more dresses on the rack. I had it on for about 30 second and just dropped my arms at my side and said, 'ok, I'm done!'

Don't try to find something that is totally out of your normal style because you feel like you have to since it is your wedding day, the only day you'll get to be Cinderella. Go with your own style and taste.

Keep looking! Try Lillettes in Baldwin, Geri there has an amazing eye for what will flatter your shape.

Karen - I'm all about dress #2 - Brittanya Lynette! You can also get it with a gathered skirt so it's more ballgowny. Looove the top. But I'm into simple gowns with accentuated waists. When will you be trying on more?
