For those ladies out there who already have found 'the one':
Did you try on a dress that you absolutely LOVED but others who were with you (mom, BM, sister, etc.) hated and it affected your final decision?
I have not yet gone dress shopping but can already tell from the pictures that my Mom and I are pulling from magazines that we have two TOTALLY different visions of what a bride 'should' look like. I am worried that I will find 'the one' but my Mom will put her foot down.
Oh, Mom is paying for the gown as a gift. We dont *need* her contribution but recognize it is extremely generous of her.

I went with my mom and I actually tried on some I loved that she hated...the one I got both my mom and aunt and myself all loved but in my opinion its your wedding day and I think you should be totally happy with your dress and not worry if anyone else likes it. Good luck and have fun dress shopping its supposed to be a fun experience.

I went with my mom and sis. The dress I liked they were not crazy about. I ended up getting another one and love it and so do they. But its your day. You need the dress that you will love

It really doesnt matter if your mom is paying and wants certain things for you... believe it. As soon as you try on THE DRESS...she will want you in it. And you can pull out all th pics you want, but be open to all.... sometimes you least expect a dress to impress you and BAMM...its THE ONE>
I tried on over 17 dresses... the 2nd one I tried is the one I LOVED and compare all others too. I still plan to look at more dresses, I don't want to regret such a big purchase...but I will try on dresses of the same style. I'm hooked.
