here are some that I tried today. I can't find a pic of the Kenneth Pool ball gown but it had a beaded bodice and a skirt with pick ups (almost bustles) around the sides and back.
ETA - a bride bought this one today at the Saks Amsale trunk show.
It was fun having the Amsale rep get dresses for me.
I cant wait for you to pick your dress! you are going to be a beautiful bride!!

I tried on a huge Ines di Santo ballgown but can't find a pic on-line. However, it's on page 122 of the Wedding Channel mag for NY/NJ that came in the mail today.
It's beautiful but to much for me to pull off. It's a huge Victorian ballgown with lace up sides and some organza (?) strings of flowers hanging (that can be removed).
I tried on a lace one too but did not even ask who designer it. It was all lace with some crisscross satin ribbon across the breast that ended at the back of the neck (where it clipped).

and the one I like best............Amsale antique looking gown. This one is not white though. I'd order white.
The front is all beading. I think it's sexy/elegant.
I can't find a pic of the full length gown but it's Amsale blue label. The skirt has bustles and crystals at the back. I think it will look amazing in white.
FYI - it is not available in oyster (the color posted) anymore.
I love the dresses you tried on! Honestly, the one you picked I like best too!

The first one is very pretty. I was trying to picture it in white though, with a white taffeta sash. The Amsale rep said the sash can be in a variety of colors.
Does anyone think white taffeta and white satin are different enough whites to allow the embroidery on the sash to show
ETA - and the sashes are just there, they are not tacked down in anyway way so the MOH and BM's will be fixing it for a while until it's all bustled into place.
