Great News

My brother is in Iraq - has been since first week in February. Well, he's 'scheduled' to leave Iraq in 10 days (hopefully, unless they change their minds AGAIN). And, he will be back in the states by the second week in August! He was supposed to stay for a minimum of a year (which meant he wouldn't be coming to my wedding). But, now HE'S COMING HOME!!!

Thanks!! I'm soooo happy; I've been (and still am) worried sick about him! First he was in 9/11 (he's a firefighter), and then he got sent over there. Jenn, I admire him too; he is very brave. I tell him in every letter I write that I give him a ton of credit, because if I were in his/their shoes, I would roll over and give up. He told me some pretty upsetting things int he past seven months - and it's getting bad over there again. So, I'm soo glad he's coming home.

thats wonderful! one of the guys in our bp is pver there too and may come home in august....but not home to ny for another few months - but at least he could get a weekend pass or somehting!

Deidre, I'm actually hoping they don't keep him at the Mississippi base for a fe wmonths (they did that with someone else we know who has been back a month already).

He's in the Navy Seabees; they work directly with a Marine unit (hand in hand). Where the marines go, they go. Pretty scary, but pretty good in that the marines are trained so well.

I am very excited!! I love him so much - my baby brother!
