Re: Great Time at Figaro's
I am definatly getting old. I went out again last night to Baldwin to see my friend who I haven't seen in a while (it was kareoke night and she is kareoke queen so it was a fun time) but befrore I went to Baldwin I had bowling and in the holiday spirit the alley bought drinks for us and my mom thought it would be great to celebrate my new job so i had a drink and a shot. Then headed out to baldwin and why oh why did I drink....I bought the first round, the bartendar bought the second and my friend she bought the third with the fourth round on the bartendar and I had to pass. Girls I am feeling it today.I have to head out to the head hunters office because I have to fill out paperwork (my I-9's and all that fun stuff) for starting on monday. Thank goodness for weekends

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
Original NYC party girl here (noooooo...Rachel? NO WAY! teehee
) and now that I am 31, I have to eat before I drink or else I barf - lovely, huh? I also am with OctBride - I get totally annoyed when I can't sit down or it's too crowded. Meat markets, my past bigtime hangout totally bore me now - what's the point of getting hit on by some obnoxious drunk frat boy trying to look down your shirt when you're already engaged? Ergo, a lot of the appeal to going out til 4 am has gone away. I am now ready to get married and have babies!
Edited to say WAY TO GO Chippa!

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
I'm glad we agree Thrilled. Sometimes I think I'm the only one who likes 'quiet' bars.
Are any of you girls going to the GTG on Jan. 10th? I'm not sure yet

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
I still love to go out but I def opt often for the quieter pub type bars. Part of gettign older, I guess.I think I am going ot the GTG on the 10th. SInce I'm in the city it will be a long train ride but I thought those of us that live/work in the city can get together and head out.

That's a good idea! I don't live in the City but work here. Maybe I'll take the ride with the rest of you ladies!

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
I was thinking of going to the LI GTG on 1/10 since they are providing Limo service from the train station to Papa Joe's. I like Fletch & Octbride's idea of having the girls that work in the city, meet and take the train to Deer Park. Let me know who is going, so then I know how to respond.

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
I guess it all depends on where people live. I live in the city so I would have to take the train all the way back. For those in Queens and other parts of LI it will be more difficult. Hmmm..we will have to think of something.

Re: Great Time at Figaro's
How many of us from the 12/18 GTG are going to go to the 1/10 GTG? I would love to go if you girls are going. My FI can always come pick me up.

I just wanted to let you girls know that I am going to attend the 1/10 GTG. I am going to take the train to Deer Park, take the ride to Papa Joes and then my FI is going to come pick me up.

I figured those of us that know each other can meet and take the train in together.

Alina, you can join us. It looks like we are probably going to catch the 5:53 out of Penn and it arrives in Deer Park at 6:55.
