Re: Greek Brides??
I haven't been to Cavo in years. I hear they made it very nice. I used Extravaganza Limos. They are based on Northern Blvd. in Great Neck. (across the street from Leonards Catering Hall.)

Re: Greek Brides??
FH and I go to cavo pretty often and yes it does seem to change every single time!! We had dinner there about a month ago - they changed the menu recently - the food is good. I am upset though because I liked a lot of items from their old menu.

Re: Greek Brides??
I havent done anything!! FH is taking the bar this week so after that I am going to get photo and the band done. YAAAY!! Finally something concrete! I have been looking online for invites though and now i am torn between three invitations. Difference is one matches my theme perfectly...but the other two i just love but they are so expensive, money which I could be spending elsewhere since i know we are going to end up paying a lot for flowers. What do you girls think -
THis is the one that matches my pear theme:
And these two are the encore box invitations which I absolutely love -
FH is such a doll!! He said we can get the expensive invites and go all out on the flowers - but I feel so bad about that. We (meaning him - since I am still paying tuition - one more year left
) are paying for the wedding and he still wants to give me the dream wedding. How adorable is that. I am probably going to go with the pear invitations if it just comes down to the money at the end. I'll see I guess....I am dying to go dress shopping - but still waiting for my MOH - (she is studying for the MCATs). Since I have plenty of time until my wedding, I am waiting for her.
So there goes my whole long recent wedding related planning - anyone else??
Oh Olga, which band did you book - and could you FM me your quote. Also, what did the other bands that you looked at quote? If any one else has pricing for bands I would love to know.
Thanks!

Are you doing the favors yourself... because if not, the favor people put them on. Plus, I think those things last forever!

Yiasas Koukles! I'm a Jan '04 Greek Bride. I'm live and getting married in New Jersey. I hope you don't mind me crashing your board, FH is from LI. Been looking all over for Greek Brides to chat with and the Band info at the top of the thread has been of a huge value to me. Thanks!

Re: Greek Brides??
Girls, I need your help. FH and I are thinking of booking Powerstation for our wedding. We originally wanted Papastefano b/c we saw him playing at a wedding we went to last month and loved him. However, he's going to be in Greece on May 16
So the owner of Powerstation said that Nico is also good. Has anyone ever heard him sing? We're going to go to Remy this weekend to check him out, but would like opinions to see if it's even worth it. Thanks girls
Hi Lennitsa! Welcome

Re: Greek Brides??
When we went to the Sand Castle, they showed us Powerstations video and we were not impressed at all with the other singers - Niko was one of them I believe. Go check them out at Remi but I didn't like either of them at all (Papastefanou has two singers with him and Niko is one of them). Go check them out though and you might like them better than me!

Re: Greek Brides??
We weren't going to do one. But we went to a wedding last month and LOVED the feel of the live music! It was great! So we're going to keep the DJ we have and add on the band.FFIL is going to talk to them tomorrow to find out exactly what night Nico is going to be singing. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks again

Re: Greek Brides??
Live in Northern NJ, Hudson County, around Jersey City. I got engaged a month ago tomorrow and so far have the church and the reception booked. That is particularly why the band info was so valuable to me. Finde the reach numbers for many is nearly impossible. I'm wigging out a bit because Jan04 is fast approaching! Need to book a band soon.Gals, I also thank you for the warm reception here on the boards.
