We are most likely going to marry at St. Paul's and was curious to know, are we allowed to say vows? I've done some reading from past brides of 04/05 who said no but i am not sure if things have changed. I would really like to incorporate vows into the ceremony.

Re: Greek Brides or anyone who married Greek??
Hello I am actually getting married there, and there are no vows---they are not in the Greek ceremony at all. I know that Church is very laid back, but I do not think you can do them.

no unfortunately there are no vows in an orthodox ceremony. Catholics have vows because they say that the couple marries eachother and the priest is actually more of a witness. In orthodox religion its about the couple being married by god in his house of worship through the priest so thats why there are no vows.
