Re: Greek Brides Thread
I'm new to the posting, I just got engaged on Friday. My FH is greek and I am catholic. He lives in Crete and I live here. We are getting married here in NY. I am totally clueless on anything wedding related. I still have to figure out how we are going to get married legally, since he is not a citizen. As far as going to Greece for your honeymoon, you have excellent choices. Just this summer I took a ferry from Crete to Santorini and I went to Athens too on my way home. I have never been to Mykonos but I hear it is great too. Just a suggestion, Athens is very hot in the summer, so you might want to do that either the first few days or the last few days before you leave. You can probably do it in about 3 days and take tours. As far as the other islands, look for cruises and stuff to go from each island, it might be cheaper and the views are nice. Let me know if you need anymore information. The airline will probably be your most expensive cost.

Please do not go to Helen Chiasson on the day of your wedding. She does do great work but you will be late for your own wedding. She is ALWAYS Running late. I have been late to so many events and my friend was almost late for her Engagement Party.
Great I booked her for my wedding day
@ 9am and so did my mom and sister.
I was hoping with all the new help she has she would be on a better schedule

She did a great job on my trial and then I went back for cut and color and highlights. She's a little coo-coo but you get used to her. I like her a lot!

Re: Greek Brides Thread
hey ladies,i know i haven't posted much, but i too am a fellow greek bride. I finally booked the church after taking FOREVER to book the venue. we're getting married at Holy Trinity Cathedral in nyc. Now that I've booked the church,I've been thinking about all the church details. Are you guys having a string quartet or any 'live' music at the ceremony? I thought it might be nice, but I'm not sure if it's really necessary.
I was also wondering if anyone had an explanation of the sacrament of marriage in english and greek. i'd like my programs to have both-TIA!

The only thing I can think of is:

Re: Greek Brides Thread
My FH wants our invitations to be in both English and Greek. Does anyone know any places that have nice invitations that will print in both languages on the same side of the invitation?
