Aside from the obvious trip to Astoria...does anyone know where I can purchase some of the accessories for the Greek ceremony on Long Island? I tried doing a search but wasn't able to find anything! Thanks...

You're best bet is Astoria. You will have a much bigger selection if you go since you can check out several different stores around the Ditmars area especially. I know there's a place on Northern in Flushing, and possibly a place in Whitestone but I have never been to that one.

im not sure about where u can get this stuff on LI i got all my stuff form Brooklyn and Astoria my Lambathes are the new style that are on a stand. i cant take a pic of them if u want. they are in myhousenow as decoration. the koufeta i and circle touls for the wrapping i got form Astoria. the stefana my koumbara brought form Greece buti had seen abunchof nice ones in the store. u wont findmuch stuff online but if u need any help of where i went let me know. good luck with everything

the lambades-- yes-- i really think astoria will have the most variety for them there are soo many different places you can go--make a day out of it & go for dinner or coffee there too lol you also need the stefana or is your koumbara picking them out? i have seen many different styles so beware you dont 'get' something you dont like-- i would go to astoria if i were you.. i was just there today

Usually your Koumbaro or Koumbara are responsible to get you the Stefana, Candles (lambades) and the favors for the wedding.

there is some lady stefanie and her number is 631-425-2476. I heard she has the newest things and gets things directly from Greece. I'm sending my koumbara there and I think she is in Deer Park.
