Grooms gift

What is everyone getting their FH for a grooms gift? I am having a hard time figuring out if it should be expensive or something simple.

I'm going to buy fh a burberry watch he wanted. I have seen them at fossil out let for a decent price so I'm doing that and I found a seller on etsy that engraves white gold guitar picks so ill be doing that for fh and putting it in a small frame :) it all depends on what he likes its the thought that counts not the price!

I really dont know for sure yet... had a thought of making a basket of a bunch of smaller items to make one big gift! Maybe cuff links? gray flip flops to wear at our after party? Kind of like a grooms emergency kit lol Just some thoughts I had for that, if not, I will buy him a bigger present- expensive tickets to a game/concert etc.

I think FH and I are going to skip getting each other gifts, we are upgrading our apt right after teh wedding so that will be our gift to eachother..Since it is close to the playoffs though I will prob end up suprising him with Rangers play off tickets if they make it this year :)

When FH and I got engaged I bought him a Tag Heuer watch so there's nothing else to buy him. He doesn't wear any other jewelry so I think we will just get something small and sentimental for each other.

FH always goes above and beyond and crazy when it comes to gifts for me, even when we say we're doing something small so I really wanted to get him something big or extravagant. He is not a 'fancy' guy and doesn't do jewelry really so I decided to give him a big surprise at the wedding for his wedding gift. He always wanted to have a cigar roller, and I shot it down right away because we couldn't fit it in the budget and it's just soooo not necessary. Well what he doesn't know is I saved up secretly and booked him one for our cocktail hour. The morning of I will give him a box with one cigar in it and something that says 'This is just a sneak preview of the hand rolled cigars that will be made during our cocktail hour later, Happy Wedding Day' or something similar. He is just going to flip a lid I know. He will never expect it, especially because I'm so crazy about staying on budget. I also ordered personalized matches to have on the table for the guests to grab with a cigar.

This too...surprising him with at cigar roller but for the last 2 hours of our reception. I keep trying to tell him for grooms gifts to get the guys cigar accessories but he keeps saying no because he doesn't know why i'm pushing it. OH well I know he will love this.

I think we are skipping gifts. We are paying for the wedding on our own so an extra expense just isn't warranted.
Our eternal love will be our gift to each other. (I can't believe I wrote something mushy and sentimental)

I got FH a watch, he got my wedding shoes. I think I might do the 'incase of cold feet' socks too.

I feel like FH and I should skip it. He wants an off duty gun (he's a cop) and I really want diamond studs. Both are SUPER expensive and we have plenty more to pay for!

I plan on doing boudoir photos and surprising him with a cigar roller at cocktail hour. I really wanted to get him a breitling too but I dont know if I can swing that too!

I keep leaning towards a watch :) and a pair of socks for 'cold feet' even though he always tells me that i'll be the one to get cold feet before him lol i'm also thinking of just putting a wallet size photo for his eyes only :)

We aren't really doing wedding gifts because we're spending so much money already but we're getting married on his birthday so I did buy him a birthday gift for that morning. I bought him cufflinks that are made from a Rangers game used hockey puck, they look classy still but it's a nod to his love of playing hockey and watching the Rangers. Also we're having a cigar roller but he knows about that, he thinks that's his only birthday gift and the cufflinks will be a surprise.

Since we are trying to remodel our house, we're skipping the gifts. I'm sure I will buy him something small anyway, because I can't help myself. But it'll probably be sheet metal (he loves to weld and make parts for his truck). I know, so romantic! LOL
