GRRR...we were invited to a RD for tonight, but still haven't gotten any details on it!

I posted about this last night. But, now it's decision time.

The nature of my job is that I work with people on various projects. So, now they are asking if I can spend some time with them this afternoon. If I leave early today, I will have to be here all night on Monday.

Last week, DH's uncle invited us to his son's rehearsal dinner. That whole family was invited to our RD (which ended up being a mini-wedding). So, now the uncle wants to reciprocate.

He basically said to my DH, 'If you'll come, I'll make a reservation somewhere. If you can't come, I'll just skip it'

So, DH said, 'sure, we'll come'.

The uncle left off by saying that he was now going to book something and would get back to us with details.

Well, today's the day, but we haven't heard a word.

Now, I need to decide what to do. If I don't leave work early today, there is no way that we'll be able to make it all the way up there on time. But, I really don't want to get screwed and end up leaving early for nothing and having to work late on Monday.

I'm just afraid that as soon as I schedule my afternoon to work, the uncle will call with the details...

At this point, would you still plan on going or would you forget about it?

You should have DH call his uncle to find out what is happening.
