At 4:30 am FH started yelling that a big bug was crawling on him. We looked all over and i thought he had dreamt it b/c i didn't see a thing..
Well....I then start screaming when i see a roach the size of a fist crawling on my neck and into my hair. So upsetting. Our apartment is immaculate, it must have crawled in from outside.. but boy how disturbing. I could not for the life of me fall back to bed...and it had been crawling on his face while he slept!!!!
Needless to say we couldn't fall asleep so dragged our butts to the gym. One thing out of the way at least!!

It honestly was an awful wake up. AND i hadn't fallen asleep until late that night, so i barely slept. Now i'm living in fear of dog sized roaches in our apartment :(
FH was funny though..he told me not to worry, that he probably just wanted to be my friend.
Lol...thanks but i have enough friends, no need for a pet roach!!!

Yuck! Those bugs are everywhere. I think they are coming inside because of the heat. I hope you get some sleep tonight!

Ironically...I woke up screaming last night because I thought there was a bug crawling down my arm...turns out it was my cat licking my arm...

OMG, I'm freaking out just reading this. I wonder how the hell they get so big. I hope you guys don't have anymore. Do you have cats? If so, they might help you out here. I would call an exterminator right away and have them fumigate your apt. Hey, at least you got your workout done with already. Good luck.

We have a mouse problem, and I keep having nightmares that mice and rats are crawling on me, but at least I wake up and I'm fine!

I can't EVER imagine a rat!!! the roach was bad enough!!!! Lol!
FH told me that as i was screaming and trying to get it off of me, i looked like i was going to cry and that it almost seemed like i was on fire the way i was yelling....I remember i was ripping at my shirt too to try to get it off, hahaha....
If you ladies ever want the best way to get a jumpstart on the day, thats the solution right there. Unfortunately a solution that makes me shudder when i think about it!!!

I would die. Literally - roaches and centepedes are the only bugs that make me *nervous* I get faint just thinking about it.

How did you even see it crawl on your neck and in your hair? Was the light already on?
Aaaaaagh.....Im freakin out reading this....but I have such a phobia on bugs. I view my 4 corners of my room every night b4 I go to bed, including 2 or 3am when I get up to pee. As much as it hurts my eyes to put the light on at that time, I have to.
I've seen so many bugs this week, centepedes, earwigs! gross, gross gross Its definitely gotta be the humidity. Its only times like this, I wish for winter to come back.
I am just so sorry, I know exactly what you went thru.......I had a bug crawl up my nose while I was sleeping and woke up to it, it was not a roach, but it was just as bad........and I'm still scarred for life. This was 2 years ago.

I have to show my SO this thread, I am terrified of bugs and he always says, they are more afraid of you than you are of them... I THINK NOT!!!

Yuck! I'm sorry. And its awful because even though your apartment is immaculate, someone in your building is not, and that is the root of your problem. You can work so hard to try to keep them away, but if you have dirty neighbors, it can be a lost cause. What helps us is using the Combat discs. We use 3 packages every 6 weeks. We change them much more often that the package says to, but it works to keep our apartment roach free.
