At 4:30 am FH started yelling that a big bug was crawling on him. We looked all over and i thought he had dreamt it b/c i didn't see a thing..
Well....I then start screaming when i see a roach the size of a fist crawling on my neck and into my hair. So upsetting. Our apartment is immaculate, it must have crawled in from outside.. but boy how disturbing. I could not for the life of me fall back to bed...and it had been crawling on his face while he slept!!!!
Needless to say we couldn't fall asleep so dragged our butts to the gym. One thing out of the way at least!!

How did you even see it crawl on your neck and in your hair? Was the light already on?
Aaaaaagh.....Im freakin out reading this....but I have such a phobia on bugs. I view my 4 corners of my room every night b4 I go to bed, including 2 or 3am when I get up to pee. As much as it hurts my eyes to put the light on at that time, I have to.
I've seen so many bugs this week, centepedes, earwigs! gross, gross gross Its definitely gotta be the humidity. Its only times like this, I wish for winter to come back.
I am just so sorry, I know exactly what you went thru.......I had a bug crawl up my nose while I was sleeping and woke up to it, it was not a roach, but it was just as bad........and I'm still scarred for life. This was 2 years ago.
I was able to see it because by this point, we had the lights on and were looking for the 'bug' that had already crawled across his face. I seriously thought he was OUT OF HIS MIND and dreaming there was a bug on him. Then I saw him looking at my neck and i saw out of my peripheral the shadow of the roach. I kind of wish i had it on tape, i bet i looked like the biggest weirdo ever!!! I was literally screaming and ripping my shirt , lol!!

I think I would have cried. My sister had a moth crawl in her ear when she was sleeping and all she kept hearing was a flutter of wings on her ear drum. She said it was painful. She poured peroxide in her ear and it spilled out.
She now sleeps with a pillow over her head. Im thinking of buying ear plugs LOL
I didnt know roaches got that big. What did you guys do? Catch it, kill it?

We ended up flushing him...I made john flush him 4 times just in case he tried to crawl back up the pipes and bite my coolie :( I don't think he was completely dead b/c as many times as we hit it, it kept twitching.

You poor thing!!! I HATE bugs so I would be freaked out and probably wouldn't sleep in my own bed after that!!
It sounds like one of those NYC roaches! Those thigns are HUGE. I didn't believe my friends who'd tell me about how big they are until I saw one for myself in the subway. Unbelievable! It was big and disgusting! My friend woke up with one on her forehead once

As I'm writing this I feel something crawling on me but turns out it's my hair
I would deff. Get some kind of roach motel just 4 peace of mind.
Don't feel too bad. We started gutting out house lest week and we found 2 dead mice in the walls. Then last night the electrician say one run across the floor and there's little droppings. We must have put down 30 traps. I don't even want to know what we find today!!

Just a little story to gross you guys out a little more..
This has the be one of the ONLY things I cant stomach, and I have seen it all..
I have had people come into my ER with roaches that crawl into thier ears while they are sleeping!!!
I cant believe how calm most of these people are when they come in! If that happened to me, I would run in screaming and crying at the top of my lungs!

I would have FREAKED! I would go out and get bug bombs and set them off and go to a nice place overnight. YUCK!!!!!!! Whenever I get take out etc, I make sure not to get it in a box and take out all contents from bags and throw outside immediately. How awful!

OMG...I would have been going nuts. I remember one night about two years ago I started screaming because there was a mosquito in my room and my parents heard banging in my room...so they get up and she me trying to smack a mosquito and yelling Ohh my God...I hate, hate flies, bugs, rodents.....YUCK.
