My sister (who I can't get in touch with right now because she is on her way home from work and I'm too impatient to wait) had a really great spreadsheet with her guest list on it. She had little abbreviations for basically why they were being invited. I think one was BF = Bride's Family, etc. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can help me? I don't want to reinvent the wheel, I just want to get this done!! Thanks, Kimberly

Re: Guest List
I love the color code idea. I'm usually very good with this kind of stuff but I had such a stressful day at work, I'm really shot.

Re: Guest List
Color coding is a great idea. Since the number of guests is different from the number of invitations, does anyone have a spreadsheet that sorts that out as well. I welcome all spreadsheets through FM. Thanks!

Re: Guest List
i set up a spreadsheet on excel. i am extremely crazy when it comes to these type of things. the first page has our lists. we currently have 2 lists, one has 130 people the other has 110 people. we only guaranteed 110 & would like to stay with that number.
the second page has the table set ups. once again done twice since we have 2 lists.
the third page has the mailing information. (since we mail christmas cards every year i already had this in access so i copied & pasted.) this page also tells me if its my family or his family, my friends or his friends & who is in the bridal party. (i really didn't need this info because i know but when i give the list to my sister for the shower she may want to know this info.

lol. i think its a little crazy & completely shows off my obsessive complusiveness but its easier for when my mom wants to look at it.

EXCEL!! That is how I am creating my list. I did something similar as your sister. I have a column where I list B(ride) or G(room) or BG(both), to indicate which friend /family belongs to whom. Also, you can create different worksheets to have for example Guest List A, Guest List B, etc.
If you don't have Excel, you can do an online version on Google Documents. It saves it for you online and you can access it from any computer. The only downside about Google Docs is that I find some of the actions you do are a bit slower than Excel, but it does about the same thing.

Mine is similar, but it's all on one sheet. My columns consist of:
Title First Name Last Name Guest First Name Guest Last Name Bride/Groom/Friends (relation) Address 1 Address 2 City State Zip E-Party invite E-Party RSVP Engagement gift Engagement gift thank you Save the Date Wedding invite Wedding RSVP Wedding gift Wedding thank you
Then I have a second sheet for the bridal shower set up similarly that I can give my mom and sisters.

Re: Guest List
I think she used the one on macy's website. I know that I started inputting it and it would ask you what the relation was to the person. you can export to excel.
