Guest of a wedding fashion advice...

Alright... I have SEVEN weddings coming up before my own in Dec. 2014 (12.13.14 to be exact).

The weddings are as follows:

June 14, 2013- Night time
October 13, 2013- Mid-Day/Early evening
December 21, 2013- Night time
June 21, 2014- Mid-day/early evening
August 2014 (exact date to be determined)- Not sure
September 20, 2014 (I'm a member of the bridal party)- Mid-day/early evening
November 2014 (exact date to be determined) -Night time
December 13, 2014 (MY WEDDING!!!)- Night time

My fiance and I decided to use these weddings before our own as dance practice. I plan on wearing super high heels as there is a significant height difference between us (I am 4'10' and he is 6'6'). In fact I want
THESE shoes. They are gorgeous and just perfect in my opinion. Ideally I'd like to stay in my heels most of my wedding and dance in them for the reception.

I'd like to 'train' myself in shoes similar to those during these weddings. I found and fell in love with THESE. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and almost exact to the heel/platform height of the Alice and Olivia pumps. My only hesitation is that they are ivory.

I would like to purchase two new dresses for the upcoming weddings as I could honestly re-wear them as the friend circles are fairly different. I plan on wearing these shoes for all of the weddings for the purpose of 'practice'.

My issues are:

Is it inappropriate to wear ivory shoes to the wedding?
What color dresses could I wear to go with the shoes?

I'd also take suggestions in similar shoes to the Payless shoes that comparable in price to them NOT in ivory.

Also: HERE is an album of my general style and my body type.

The only reason I'd say ivory shoes are a faux pas is because you are short, and people are going to naturally want to check out your shoes because they're going to wonder why you're so tall. Can you get them dyed? Do they come in a different color?

I, personally, wouldn't get offended, bc I probably wouldn't even notice as the bride, but I know a lot of girls who would be offended.

Just looked at them again. I got a pair a few months ago, not peep toe, but very similar, at target and they were like a really pale tan. I don't know who I think I am, being 5'9' and wearing 6' heels, but hey, they were cute!!!

They didn't come in a different color because if they did... I'd totally buy them. I'm not sure if I can get them dyed because I don't think they're dyeables. I've seen these ones ( http://www.target.com/OpenZoomLayer?template=scene7-image&image=Target/14304894_is&omniZoomPartNumber=14304894&swCellSpacing=10,10&swHighlightThickness=1&swBorderThickness=0&itemTitle=Women%26%23x27%3Bs+Xhilaration%26reg%3B+Sae+Pumps+-+Black&omniImageCount=3) at target but they're not nearly as comfy as the ivory ones. Maybe I'll see if I can get them dyed. They are just SOOO comfy!!

I don't see anything wrong with ivory shoes. They are just your shoes, not a dress.
The only colors I wouldnt wear with ivory shoes is silver or yellow. Everything else could work.

this! as long as you aren't wearing an ivory, white, or really pale pink dress its fine. I wouldnt be mad if someone wore ivory shoes to my wedding. AN ivory dress though? I'd be pissed lol

Don't worry Katie, I wouldn't be mad if you wore ivory. lol. Wear whatever you feeling comfortable in! And I really like both pairs of shoes - I wish I could get away with something that high.

I think it's completely fine to wear ivory shoes. They just may not be so ivory anymore by the seventh wedding! lol Love them!!!

PS- Lucky you getting to go to so many weddings before your own!

I also agree with this!! I went to a wedding almost 2 July's ago, and one of the guests was wearing an all white dress!! I wasn't the bride, but I was just as pissed off!!
