Hello! I am new on these boards and just recently got engaged. My family and I are trying to figure out a budget and a guest list and I am wondering if you girls could tell me how many people you are inviting to your wedding and how many people you are guaranteeing at your hall.

First of all Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the boards!!

My minimum is 180 and I'll be inviting 200-240 guests.

Congrats!! Welcome to the boards We are inviting 320 and we had to only guarantee 225. Good luck and welcome to cloud 9!!

Hi Congratulations!!!! I am having a small wedding, I am inviting 90 and have to guarantee 75 at $125. Welcome to the boards, very good research can be done here

My guarantee was 150...I invited about 215 and 175 are coming.

I was actually thinking of about 200, but then I might spend a lot on the reception hall and not have enough left over to get the things that I want for my wedding. I can't decide. Thanks for the responses girls, keep them coming!

Congrats and welcome! We're guranteeing 120 and are expecting somewhere between 130 and 150 guests.

We guaranteed 180.

We invited 260 but we ended up having 198.

CONGRATS!!!! Enjoy your engagement!

I am guaranteeing 150 inviting about 200.
They have said a rule of thumb is to expect that about 20% of your guests will not attend.

First of all....congrats!

We had to guarantee 75...and will invite about 130....we expect to wind up with about 90 people at $65pp plus tax and gratuity.
