I think you would leave less room for people to think it is tacky if you call them and explain...rather that just drop an invite in the mail at this point. Just call them and say what you said here about wanting to invite them, constraints etc. People will either say yes or no and if they say yes, then send them an invite. This will expedite your responses and give the personal touch so it doesnt seem tacky. I bet there are a lot of people who would love to be included despite not making the first cut (haha)..Also, if you dont make the minimum and you already had a lower price for vendors and children, their meals will count towards that minimum. Good luck. I'm sure it will be fine. Plus you also have those 15 names that haven't responded yet...

Thanks everyone! I'm really not nervous or anything yet, but I'm sure that I will be on Saturday. The worst part for me is thinking about walking down the aisle with everyone looking at me!! And I'm worried about the weather...

If they are counting your vendors and children towards your minimum then you are not paying over and above your minimum for them, which is usually where they give you a discount (30% in your case). This is a common practice. It helps if you are under...not the answer you may have wanted but it helps a bit anyway. Keep making those calls...

I was just looking through my wedding stuff and found the stuff I got from my church about the different kinds of Pre-Cana.
