Gym

Hey Gals!

I just joined a gym and I love it!

I figured a good question to get the boards moving is what's your favorite part of the gym or of working out?

For example do you have a favorite class or machine?

or if you are not in a gym, favorite exercise?

Re: Gym

At my gym, my favorite classes are the cycling class and the body sculpting (which is toning different muscles in the body)

My favorite machine is probably anything aerobic...

I still love the treadmill as I used to be a track runner!

I hardly use any of the machines too!!

I LOVE the classes!

Because I know nothing on my own and I like to be told what to do to strengthen and tone!

OMG, I went the gym today! I did 45 min on the elipticel (sp?) for 45 min and 15 min on the bike. I haven't been to the gym in months and it felt great ladies!

I've been going for a few weeks now and I love the elliptical machines. I'm into lifting so I do lots of machines the few times a wek I go to the gym (10-12 machines) and I'm planning on upping the weight every 2 weeks! I love how strong my muscles feel. I also love that great sweat from the elliptical.

Re: Gym

I never liked gyms...too self conscious, but I do take Tae Kwon Do...best workout I've ever had and it's never boring. Plus you get to yell, kick & punch things & relieve your stress...and you learn to defend yourself...highly recommend it to anyone thinking about any martial art or kickboxing!!! Or want to try something different.

Even though it's alot of cardio you surprisingly build some good muscle too.

Kiyyyaaaa!!! hahaha

I love the elliptical as well...

I need to build up the courage to use the weight machines, because I am sooo weak (esp. in the arms)... but thats my next thing to tackle!

I don't go to a gym, but I occasionally work out at home... we have an elliptical machine, which I do most of the time, but I have to say, one of my favorite things to do (and something I don't do enough) is this fantastic yoga video I have... It doesn't do much for you in terms of cardio, but by the end of it I feel so peaceful and centered, and it feels SO good on sore muscles. This particular video too is the best yoga workout I've had, and it has a fantastic deep breathing cool down at the end that is so incredibly soothing.

I haven't done it in ages... I don't even know where it is anymore... I really should dig it up!
