hair extensions??

I have this look that I want for my hair, but it requires my hair to be longer. Has anyone ever had hair extentions? If so, did you like them and were they worth the cost?

I had them for my wedding...they were glued in. They were soooo worth the money & I was so happy with the result. I even kept them for my HM.

I have had them and IMO they are worth every penny. If you go into my account you will see my profile pic. That is with extenstions. You can compare it to my e-pics (in my album) where I don't have them.

I get the semi-permanent bonded one's. Real human hair and the bonds are made of keratin and actually protect your hair. They last 4-6 months. Yes they can be super expensive. If you get it done in a salon they can cost 3-5k

I have a girl that does it in her home for 1/2 the price. She also works at Frederick Fekkai but it will cost a fortune if she does them in the salon.

I don't have them in now but might get the for the wedding.

I've had them before and think its worth it...Depending on where you go the price will vary, if you go into the city it will be at least $1000 and thats actually a good price for the city, also depending on how you get them put in, theres different options, the hair you use, and the salon basically, the bigger the name the more money.

In queens, long island or other areas it will be a little less but not much, in queens i have seen some places that do it for $900

Don't laugh but my friend just bought those hair extensions that Jessica Simpson's stylist makes from Home Shopping Network... they're only $80 and they are fantastic!
She's wearing them right now, and they look so real I was seriously shocked!!

thats what I am thinking of getting for the wedding! They sell the REAL synthetic ones that Jessica Simpson has (the HAir DO) real ones on ebay are like 300.000 not bad really

Just remember that if you buy synthetic hair then it can't be styled. Make sure you get real hair if you want to curl it.

I've been thinking about this since the birth of my son. I've lost quite a bit of hair. If anything, I'm gonna have to go the expensive route, because synthetic hair CAN NOT be curled, or have heat applied. If only it were that easy.

I was JUST going to say the same thing...love Jessica but she is full of ca ca..she uses REAL hair (the girl that does my extensions knows Kevin Pave (sp?)-Jessica's stylist) and he uses the same hair products mine does which is Great Lengths hair extensions. Ms. Simpson does not use that fake hair she is peddling on HSN. Spend the extra money for real hair, even if it's just clip on's.

I had them, they were clip in. I took them off at the end of the day and have re-used them. They were SO COMFORTABLE & very real looking. I got them from Nelson D'Leon Salon. I had used other extensions & they looked fake or they hurt & gave me a headache... these were really great.
