Okay 235 including trial and for the day of. Is it me or is that a lot of money? I was just wondering if it was worth that much money? 175 just to do your hair on the day of? I'm considering it only because I want my hair to look beautiful, but how much time is the person going to spend on my hair? Did anyother brides, regret saving money in that department? What is everyone else doing for hair?

Yes, I do. Not because I didn't like my hair, but because the lady was unprofessional and rude to me and my MOH. I would have paid anything to not have dealt with that. If it's someone that makes you feel beautiful and you've tried less expensive alternatives with dissapointing results, I say go for the $235...in the end it's only about $50-75 more than 'average' and that's nothing in the grand scheme of things...I wish I would have thought of that before my wedding.

If you like her and the trial I would pay that much. You're also paying for peace of mind!

Melanie, I think you should look around a little more. That is alot of money for hair for just one day. Yes it is your wedding day but it is not the day to get ripped off. Look around.

Everything wedding related is stupidly expensive. After exploring some less expensive alternatives, the end result of which didn't make me feel like I was going to feel good about hair on the day-of, I'm glad to make a choice of a person I feel very comfortable and confident in! So, that confidence alone is worth it when it's really not that much more than most things.
however, in the grand scheme of things, I think most things we're spending our hard earned money on for the wedding are beautiful, but stupidly expensive....

If ever there was a day to go overboard it would be your wedding day. I am a firm believer in that. As long as you dont go into debt to pay for your special day, I'd go for it. I had a hard time justifying spending a lot of money on shoes that look like I could have bought them in a flea market in the 50s but guess what... ITS MY MONEY AND I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!!!! That is the bottm line.

I am only paying $95 so $235 seems like alot...I mean the day of is one thing...but for a trial she also wants to charge $235. Have you seen other brides hair from this person do you think it is worth it. A hairdresser in my opinion is a hairdress & most not all can copy a picture & make your hair look great. Also if you plan to wear your veil all night nobody may see the back of you head. I am all for spending money for this wedding but there comes a point where you have to say enough.....I thought $225 was alot for makeup so I didn't book her...i found someone else that I loved too. If she woudl have charged me $225 for a trial I wouldnt' have went to her. JMO

I'm spending $225 between the trial and the day of the wedding. so yes, if you love it, go for it.

Price is a relative thing to everyone. If you like her and you are in love with the trial, then it's worth it.
If you are wondering if it's worth it, go to someone more reasonable first to compare.
Just because it's more money doesn't mean it's better.

I'm going to see a couple of people before I decide. I then thought to myself, the money I'm spending on trials could go towards the 175 for the day of. I'm so confused!!!

Re: Hair, is it really worth 235?
It is a lot of money, but I learned the hard way that it is sometimes worth it. I didn't book a certain hairstylist because I thought her $300. fee was outrageous. The girl I ended up booking instead turned out to be a complete loser, she really ruined my getting ready experience and I was not happy with my hair at all. If I could do it over again, I would have booked the $300. girl in a heart beat (she had an impeccable reputation). I spent $150. (and 60 for the trial) on the girl I used and it would have been totally worth the extra money to get someone of quality. I say do it!

The trial and the day of is $235...not $235 each!
$235 for both is not that much...that is approx. the norm. Good luck and post pics!

I am all for spending whatever you feel you necessary for hair and make-up... I spent a lot and I felt it was totally worth it.. I felt so beautiful. This is not an area to look for the cheapest price IMO.

Couldnt have said it better myself. I would forgo stuff like a slipper basket, chocolate fountain and certain extras in order for my life long memories to look the way I want them too. Including my hair.

Re: Hair, is it really worth 235?
I have my trial on Sunday. I just found out by another bride that one of the vendor's I was going to see for a trial is a real meanie, lol. I'm going to cancel my appointment and keep it simple with two different stylists. I'll choose from those two who I like best. Thanks ladies!!! I'll keep you posted!
