Hair & Makeup Trials

Hi Ladies! I already booked my hair for my wedding (without a trial but I plan on having a trial in the future), but have not booked makeup (I would definitely like to do a trial prior to booking makeup since I barely wear any and want to make sure it looks natural whoever I choose).

When do you recommend doing trials for these vendors?

Hair & Makeup Trials

I did mine in January and my wedding is next month. They say a couple of months before is a good idea. It just depends on your vendors availability. Its getting busy so I would at least call to get on their books before they can't squeeze you in.

Hair & Makeup Trials

I was told by multiple make up artists to do a trial around the one year mark. That way you have a better idea of how it will last with the weather of that season and your skin tone

That's definitely a good idea! The weather/humidity level can definitely effect the way the makeup stays and lasts.

Hair & Makeup Trials

I also could be moving in June due to FH's job. So I may want to do all trials prior to then (although Dusti said about 6 months she recommends because people change the way they want their hair).
