I knew when my shower was going to be so I took the opportunity to do my hair and makeup trial for that day so I could test the whole look out.
I want something a little dramatic, and I love the whole 60's Priscilla Presley look, but do you think it's too much? I think I need to tone it down on the eyes a little bit. I'll also use a hair piece on the wedding day so that it doesn't go flat like it did by the end of the day for the shower.

That's a lot of hair! But it works for you and I say go for it! The eyes are also dark and dramatic...if this is the look you're going for, then you've got it

And I agree with Kristy..its beautiful ..you def. have a lot of hair (like me) and it came out absolutely gorgeous..and the make up came out great too

i really love your makeup - i want to do something similar but i am scared of how it will look after some tears. . . but it looks really nice on you!
i love your hair too but i would have to see it with a hair peice in - bc in the pictures it doesnt look like its 'done' to me - although your hair is AMAZING!

In real life it felt like such a tremendous amount of makeup, but now in pics it looks like a lot less... I felt like I looked a little mean in real life. LOL.

wow you have a lot of hair! I thought you had some clip on's in there. I think for the look you are going for, it was achieved! You can just do a 'fall' hairpiece.. my aunt used to wear them all the time in the 60's. You can still do dramatic eyes w/out it being so dark. Maybe do a smokier effect, instead of just black eyeliner all the way around.

First off, I LOVE Priscialla and Elvis!! hahaha. I think the hair looks beautiful!!!!!! The makeup looks great too I don't see any close ups so I don't see if it's too dramatic but it looks fantastic!!

Thanks so much for all the opinions! I agree about going smokier. She did the little cat thing on the eyes and I think thats what is feeling wierd to me. Our engagement pics (in album) is more what I usually look like, but I have always wanted to be dramatic on the wedding day.
I learned some good lessons about timing with this expirement too. I was running so late by the time the makeup finished that I couldn't take any close up pics at all. She finished and I literally had to run out the door.

i think you look gorgeous and you can def. pull off the look!!!
imho: but also the side view- when you were in the chair getting your hair done, looks like its a little on the big side

Ok, first let me start by saying you are absolutely stunning!!! I looked at your engagement pictures, and have to say I like the softer look on you a little more. I would tone down the eyes a little bit, like they said, and you agreed, on going with a smokey instead of severe look. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair in the e-pics. That's how I want to do mine for my wedding day! I have pics of hair in my album of styles(celebrities) very similiar if you want to look. I LOVE high hair, but I think you look even more stunning with a softer look. JMHO!!!! Please don't be insulted! You're so beautiful!!! Even if you did this style, maybe add a few curls to the ends??? Keep us posted! You're going to be gorgeous no matter what!! PS You almost remind me of Fran Drescher, from The Nanny, in those photos.

My aunt actually suggested curling it at the ends too. We didn't have the hair piece at the trial so my hairdresser had to tease it like crazy to get the shape. I am definitely going to soften it up all around.
I was going to have it down, but I know that I get uncomfortable with my hair down and I will wind up putting it up with a rubberband like 10 minutes into the party so I figured I am better off having it put up by a professional. LOL!

So glad you weren't insulted!! I think it will look gorgeous, even if you did it like that, but like you said, a little curls to soften it would be just stunning! With your hair piece, I can imagine what it will look like, and I really think it will look great with it in. I know what you mean about having it down. I had short hair for 10 years, so now that it's been long for about 2, it took some getting used to! I love it though, and putting it up, actually, gives me a headache, so it doesn't bother me down, but sometimes it can, so I know what you mean! Keep us posted!!
