I called a hair salon to make an appointment for my hair and makeup..they want to charge a $100 holding fee..since they have to block off 3 hours. They do this because of sometimes Brides cancel or don't show up!
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

i know that with a lot of nail salons - when you call to book for your BP - you'll have to do a similar thing...because to block that slot of time and have them turn down others costs them money...

I wasn't sure if they were trying to pull a fast one on me!
My friend told me allot of salons do that now..because for the 3 hours the Salon belongs to me and my girls!

Exactly - i agree... If you do have to cancel - make sure you know their policy. Can you cancel with 5 hours notice - or does it have to be 12 hours....etc...
Don't want you losing out on any moolah!
