Don't pay any attention to the stupid look on my face.
I was not happy with the way the front looked at all, and for some reason the picture doesn't capture what is wrong with it. Suffice it to say, everyone (including FH hated the way the front actually looked.

I showed that same exact picture at my first hair trial. Jenn tried her best to replicate it, but she missed it as well. I think it's just a hard hairstyle to get right.
That being said, I think the back should be a little more loose, and as far as the front, maybe a few tendrils hanging down would look lovely on you. You're lucky enough that a variety of hairstyles could work on you, so I would keep experimenting.
I had a similar problem at my hair trial. I showed the stylist a pic of a style I thought I loved until I saw how it looked on me. I was so sure I wanted curls but I have changed my mind. Sometimes a style can look great until you see it on and realize it just doesn't suit. I agree with Christine in that I think a style with waves and less curl would compliment your beautiful face.

You know what - you are just not 'beaming' in the pic - a good sign that its just not right for you - when something works - you just 'glow' in it - keep looking! That is what these trials are for

I gave Renee at Sheers of Elegance a photo of what I wanted. She redid the front a few times before leaving it the way it is in the pics.
If it posts, this is the pic I gave her . . .
Do you think they used hair pieces for the model??

I do not like the hair trial at all - the picture was not even closely replicated. That being said, it's a difficult hairstyle to replicate to begin with, but it honestly was nothing like it at all.
I know you may be set on half-up/half-down, but I would love to see you in an elegant low-bun with volume in the front....
However, if you are set with half-up, half-down, I suggest LESS CURL b/c it honestly makes you look like you're trying to fit into a PROM...Here are a few pics I suggest:
I knew I could count on you Christine!! I am completely set on half up half down. I wear my hair to court pulled back in a bun or chignon, so I really don't want my everyday work look for my wedding. This one pic, is similar to what I'm going to show my everyday hairdresser to see what she can do.
