HAIR TRIAL & FITTING

Both were busts!

The hair style I was going for looked completely like prom circa '93. I need to look for a new 'do.

The dress fitting was sooo beyond stressful that they made me yet again put it off til June. The 'bones' of the bodice were showing through, my hollow to hem measure was too long, and these people were so concerned over me loosing weight, that they prefer to put my fitting off til June.
Yes - my wedding is JUNE 23. They made me feel (once again) as if I was getting married in 2007 and was in there way too early. The seamstress, who was the only decent saving grace in there, looked like she coudl fix thre hem, and removed the 'bones' w/o ruining the gown.

To top it off, I forgot my memory stick to my camera, my shoes were too tight, and the jewelry I bought to wear day of was all wrong!!

where are you getting your dress altered?? my mil and moh had a huge problem with alterations also, and they kept pushing them to the last minute too... im wondering if it is the same place....

I'm getting the dress altered as the same place where I bought it (see profile). I think we did solve the jewelry issue - just a strand of pearls - classic.

i'm so sorry to hear that! i would be uncomfortable waiting until June to start fittings....insist that they do something now. and don't worry about coming off as a bridezilla - at the end of the day you are the one that will be wearing the dress and you need to feel good in it. i know that everything will work out for you, and you will be a stunning !

Sorry that things didn't go smoothly... sleep it off. It's Friday and it'll be a brighter day.. maybe, things will take another turn..

.. I know how you feel, my hollow to hem was too SHORT!!!! I am now waiting for a rush ordered dress that will be in mid May. My wedding is June 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only pray that they make the 'rush order' better that the one that took 4 months to make.

I'm sorry you had a rough day. Everything will work out so don't stress. My 'real' fitting wasn't until just before a month before my wedding too, and everything was fine. Just take a deep breath.

Better luck next time. Dont let this get you down. Go for another trial. Thats what 'trials' are for!!!
