Hair Trial question...

I can't stop thinking about it... I went for a trial with Pauline a few weeks ago, I liked it, but have nothing to compare it to. I really think I should have another one. Kristen from Enchante called me today, (we've been calling each other back and forth), and said that her bride on the 31st cancelled, so she's available all day if I want her. For those of you using her, are you going to the salon, is she coming to you, how are her updo's, and does she do the makeup, or does someone else do it? I know Michele31 is using her, how do you like her? I told her I wouldn't be able to have a trial until 1-2 days before the wedding since we're in NC. What do you think? I really liked Pauline, but I want something to compare her to. Also, I'm sure you've read my other posts about not having money, so now another trial would cost more. I don't know...

Re: Hair Trial question...

Have you tried any local shops??? Mine local shop did my trial for free because she loves me and knows the crap we have been going through and my hair that day is costing extra low.

I would say try some local shops or whoever does your hair now...

No need to shell out a ton for a trial or for someone who is a distance...

Best of luck!

My girls and myself are saving a ton going with my MK lady doing our makeup and my local shop doing our hair.

Re: Hair Trial question...

Ive seen your other posts about being strapped for cash. Maybe you can forget having your makeup professionally done and try to do it on your own to save some money. From what I understand - Kristen is quite expensive.

Re: Hair Trial question...

I can't try local shops, I live in North Carolina. Also, anyone I know up on LI that gets their hair/makeup done is VERY expensive. I also could never do my own hair and makeup. I stink at doing both. I rarely wear makeup, and I can't do hair. I wish I could of tried several people on my last visit, but I didn't have the money for all the trials. I just want a nice updo, and natural looking makeup. I don't know where to go?

Re: Hair Trial question...

where do you live? Town and Country Salon and Spa. Has an incredible guy name Rob and a great makeup lady as well. My friend got hers done there. If I can find the pictures I will post them. They are located in Huntingtion. If you want I can try and find it. I know as a bridesmaid there I paid 35 bucks for my updo.

Re: Hair Trial question...

Kristen is very expensive Melissa. And the truth is you have to pay her for your trials too. That is going to run you another $100 just for the trials. The salon is super busy on the weekends and I am not a fan of a bride dealing with that on her wedding day. I have also decided to have JN do my makeup and her hair person to do my hair instead of Kristen. Although Kristen is super talented I do not like the fact that she raised her prices so much since becoming popular and I brought her 4 regular customers (all in my bridal party) and she still wanted them to pay close to $100 just for their hair on the wedding day. I cannot ask my BMs do to that.
If you already like Pauline, keep her. She will do a great job, plus you will save a lot of money this way. And since $$ is an issue right now I would not recommend adding another bill. I have heard mixed reviews about Kristen's makeup ability though. Pauline will do a great job. Why stress over paying more money.
