Hair/Makeup - 2 weddings in a day?

I had a hair and makeup trial yesterday - really liked the work and prices are reasonable. Problem is, they have a wedding the same day as mine (hair only) - which was an oversight.

What to do? They are willing to work with me on this and still get to my hotel in what I think is a workable amount of time. But - what happens if there is a complication that day or something? This was my first trial - I live in NJ - so I want to get this booked already. I have another trial mid May. Should I go on that one...and then speak with both? I have little time for planning with my job and not living on LI but I have to post and get advice on this one :)

i think most have more than one wedding booked a day unless you want them there for touch ups later or something...

if the timing works out and you like it then i would book. but if its really cutting it close then i would book someone else...

One of my main reasons for not booking certain M/u artists was actually b/c they wanted to squeeze 2-3 brides in one day which i was never willing to agree with however they said they 'do it all time'. I feel at ease knowing that my hair and m/u artist only will devote herserlf to me only b/c like you said, complications do happen.

If you really have you heart set on her i would put it in your contract that she needs to arrive at a specified time, etc. Its risky but if she thinks she can do it then maybe itll all work out.

i agree!!! i would not chance it!

if you think they are going to be there in a reasonable amt of time as they said, and you love there work, id go for it.
