tracy...I am dying to find a haircut as well...I cannot believe how hard it is to find something I like on the internet...

I think I am going to go to the drug store to buy a hiarstyle mag...

I'm tempted as well. I do like a style that Julia Roberts had in the movie Step-Mom (I'll look for a photo) But I'm not sure!

Tracy...went to the drug store...no hairstyle mags...so I'll have to run to the bookstore...

I do like that Julia style though...I don't know about bangs...i forget what its like to have bangs...its been so long

I have this problem also!!! I had a short chin length bob FOREVER! now my hair is grown out enough that I can just put it up in a little ponytail, but there is NO style to it at all!

I was thinking of doing bangs.. but its been so long?? I am nervous..

Tracy - why don't you go to the girl who did your hair for the wedding ? Let her suggest something. How did the BM like their hair after the wedding?

Helen- Firstly...CONGRATS on becoming 'an Obsession'

The girl I go to LOVES to chop my hair!! If I tell her to do what ever my hair will be VERY short!! Though the last time I was there she said that she liked how my hair was growing in. Maybe I'll wait a month & just get bangs. I need some sort of style! My hair is ALWAYS up in a ponytail or up in a clip in the front! I'm tired of looking at my forhead!

I'm going to search for more photos!!

The hairstyle mags STINK! I've been down this road so many times and twice, I resorted to the hairstyle mags and still came up empty. They show styles that are extremes and nothing that you would want to maintain everyday. JMO.

Tracy - I think the pic of JR is a good style - nice, medium length w/some bangs to frame your face.

I hate those hairstyle mags. When I need a new style, I think of a celebrity who has similar features and hair like mine and I search for pics of them online. I print a few and go to the hairdresser. I've found this way to be WAY better than those magazines or the books that the salons have. This way, I also know if the style will look good on my face shape.

hmm, well, I kind of have a round face, so first, I look for people who have round faces. (If not round, not completly thin) If I notice someone in a magazine, I try to write their name down, for future reference. Then, I have straight, thick hair, so I think of celebrities who have straight hair, and round faces. Then I just search. Last time, I was looking for a pic with layers, so I searched for Julia Stiles, and that girl danielle fishel. I came up with a few pictures, each with something different that I liked, and the hairdresser gave me the exact cut that I was looking for.

I don't look like any celebrities, by any means, I just look for people who have similar features.
