Well you asked....I went to a wedding there and it was an absolute ZOO - yea, they may only do two weddings....BUT there were other rooms with teenage parties and teens running ALL over, half dressed girls and young kids all over the place, (not in the wedding room but in the hallways). There were people all over taking pics from several different parties.

halls will tell you they hold only 2 weddings but if they have 3 or 4 rooms they WILL hold more than 2.
and i've heard that JT has a small garden so you definitely need to take turns if you're looking to take photos unlike places that have a bigger garden where you can be in separate sections.
if you're having 2nd thoughts there are alot of other places that does 1 wedding or only have 2 rooms so you know you won't be competing with other brides for photo op.
hth!

Re: hall dilemma - help!
I had my wedding there in June. Yes, they can have up to 3 weddings at one time. But that didn't bother me at all. The weddings were on different floors and I didn't see any other brides or grooms. The JT staff knows how to route guests to the correct wedding area and they make sure that guests don't go where they aren't supposed to go.
Regarding the picture taking, yes, you do have to schedule it around when other people are taking pictures. Your Maitre D will take care of it. I took pictures where i wanted them and there was no problem.
I guess it is all based on your perspective. I have gone to places where weddings are completely separated and they were a zoo because of the wedding party themself! So don't judge a hall based on a bride or groom. I think a lot has to do with how organized you are and how well you plan in advance.

Re: hall dilemma - help!
I've never been, but I just wanted to throw in some input ... Everyone has a different take on weddings, so it really depends on your threshold. I have friends who complain about the food at EVERY wedding, but they're comparing to Peter Lugars and other fancy restaurants - not taking into account that these are mass produced meals, so you're usually not going to get 5 star quality per the New York Times. Then you have the people who complain there's not enough seating during the CH, and others who complain when there is seating. I guess what I'm trying to say is - figure out what is important to you first.
Now, although this is probably bad/wrong, if you're really worried, just try slipping in on a Saturday night. FH has been begging me to do this with our hall because we're worried the CH will be too crowded, and I may end up doing it sooner or later. At the end of the day, you spend most of the time in the banquet hall, so you shouldn't have too much interaction with the other parties. However, if that is something that is going to bother you, you should probably look at some other halls.

thanks for all your input. i think i am going to schedule a meeting with my banquet manager. i cant honestly say i am not a bridzilla so i pretty relaxed with a lot of things. but pictures and service are important to me. i did call and they assured me they do 2 EVENTS at a time, regardless of type and they only have 2 cocktail hour rooms. and the banquet rooms are all on dif floors. sigh, this wedding planning is so stressful! it costs so much money and takes up so much of your time you just want everything to be right!

have never been to a wedding there-but I would suggest looking into taking pictures somewhere else beforehand and take a few pics at JT. This way you get the best of both worlds.

Re: hall dilemma - help!
I cancelled my wedding at JT a month ago for some reasons that i stated before on this forum.
As far as the other weddings going on at the same time, yes i was told by Chad that they only hold TWO wedding a night however i quicky relaized also they hold up to four. The reaosn they lie and say two is quite obvious, for business. If you look at their business profile where it says events held: they put down 2. I think that this information is completely misleading and its unprofessional.
However, ive been there many times to observe other weddings and honestly all the brides took their pictures and it went smoothly. I guess it depends on how many weddings are held a night and whether they step in to organize it.

it all depends on how well they organize it, talk to ur BM, theyre garden is pretty small... if theres 3 other brides in line to take pics... but there are events that run smoothly...so dont stress too much..ask ur hall if theres other parties booked that day.

I think there is only one bathroom there because when i went there we had to share with people we did not know. Also when we walked in there was a bride getting her pics take n and we were like oh look.....then like oh thats not her. On the upside its a pretty place and the food is good. Noone beats their prices though. Use your judgment its all up to you....oh right and that guy you are marrying haaaaaa

Re: hall dilemma - help!
luckily i'm having mine at JT on a friday night in december...so hopefully there wont be problems!!! however, Robert (who is AMAZING) assured me that if there by any chance is more than 1 other event going on, two weeks prior when i meet to go over my menu & stuff he's going to go over a time line & scheduel everything out with me.... believe me - JT stands by there name & i'm sure everything will be fine. You just have to be organized and stay on top of things with your banquet manager....keep in touch with your BM throughout your engagement even if it's just calling to ask a stupid question...the more they get to know u - the more they're going to care about your needs :) Also, there are MANY halls who have more than one wedding going on at once, so i highly DOUBT that JT is the ONLY hall that has EVER had a problem!

I agree!
Also, I'd read the reviews that were posted by JT brides to see how their experiences were.

I've never been to a wedding there but I have heard some of the same things listed above...and that there was a bride that had her ceremony there and the noises of dishes clattering and people yelling in the room next to them were very distracting.
I agree about reading the JT reviews on here and maybe sneaking in to check out a wedding as it happens.

I am getting married there too. I have not been there for a wedding in 2 years (it was on a Friday night at 8:15) but I don't recall going there and it being crazy.. I really don't. That place left a great impression on me back then and that is why I booked it.
From what I hear of other guests who have been there, their food is great and they think it is a beautiful place. I personally have never heard one bad thing about it until I came on here. Honestly, you can't satisfy everybody. If YOU feel that this will bother you, I suggest you either call your bm or see if you can sneak in one night like the other girls mentioned here.
Good luck...

Hey, did you see this post? I didn't read it all but I know it is a mini review on JT...
Don't listen to people. You chose JT for a reason. I have heard really great things from all the girls who have gotten married there this year. I hate it when people say those kinds of things to brides, its so mean. They do this every day, they know how to handle multiple events going on at the same time. The only time you would even have to really worry about anything is when your guests walk from CH to the reception anyway- and if they pass some guests from another party, who cares?

I went there for a wedding and it was nice. They had 2 weddings going on at the same time. The service was ok, not the best but not the worst.
The only problem I had was when the best man was giving his speech the music from the other party started to play and all you heard was bass. Only one side of the room heard it thoug. The mic could have been turned up also in our room.
Other than that my girlfriend who got married there did not seem to mind and I did not hear anything with picture taking.
ETA: If your having Lobster's in the cocktail hour make sure there there. My girlfriend did and we did not see them displayed everytime we asked a server they pointed us in the wrong direction or they were 'replenshing' them. We saw one person with lobster the entire time.

Since you asked...to be completely honest I went to a wedding there and it was complete chaos. People from all different affairs were all mixed up, there was no direction and they herded us all in a hallway for awhile. During the actual ceremony all you could hear was blasting techno music from another room, I felt terrible for them. I would definitely bring up these concerns to your BM. The night i was there could have been an off night, because JT has been around for years and there are many happy brides who had there wedding there but you have every right to address these issues. Good luck!

One of my girlfriends had her reception there a few years ago. From what I remember everything ran smoothly. I don't remember seeing any guests from other weddings and I don't recall it being chaotic.
