Halls Similiar to....

Halls Similiar to....

Can someone tell me halls that are fairly similar to: CLM, Riviera and John Anthony's (more that small time, 1-2 event, not super glitzy, cozy feel) place?

Thanks so much. We're looking this weekend.

It sounds like you want something on the water? It's definitely not as cozy as Riviera, but it wasn't over the top glitzy in the gold-encrusted, highly marbelized way a lot of the places I saw were -- Glen Island Harbour Club. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but the upstairs part of GIHC is on the smaller side with the ceremony room (though they can fit 200 in there, you can fill up the space pretty easily with plants/removing chairs, etc.) and the cocktail hour room that both overlook the water. Here's the website: GIHC

You should try captain bills in bayshore. Its on the water and I think they do only one wedding at a time. I have never been there, but I heard the food is good and it looks nice in pictures.

Stewart Manor Country Club. Absolutely wonderful place with a charmy feeling and reasonably priced.

Good luck.

Giorgio's is one wedding at a time. It's in Baiting Hollow, five minutes away from Eastwinds. The place is amazing, IMO. Food, and service is top notch. The atmosphere is just beautiful. It's set on Fox Hills golf course and you have access to the beach. The inside is wonderful too, chandliers and the nicest chairs I've seen in any hall. Check it out:

Here's the Giorgio's thread, it has some pictures taken in Dec. The place is so much prettier when there is greenery!

FM me with any questions and Good Luck!

We LOVED Sunset Harbour! It's on the water in Patchogue. It's definitely worth checking out!

Lombardi's on teh Sound--they also own Villa Lombardi's. It use to be the Port Jeff Country Club. I have never been there but my friend booked them and loved it.

Check out the Old Field Club in Setauket

Very charming, somewhat rustic, good food and only one wedding at a time.
or
you could look at Louis XVI (we're getting married there in Sept), on the water in Patchogue, AMAZING food, one wedding at a time but it may be a little too 'glitzy' for you....also it's not ideal for a large party, they say 180 is the max, but I think it's perfect for about 125.

Have fun looking!

Thank you ladies. I love the looks of Giorgio's (although a bit too far) & also was really surprised at how very nice Ariana Waterfall is. I have to talk w/ FH tonight & see what he thinks.

Not to be too much of a salesman here BUT Glen Island is actually only 35 minutes from Mineola/Garden City. It sometimes takes me longer to get to Huntington than to get to New Rochelle. I'm just saying....

I think that's good to know JennieSunshine--don't worry about being a salesman! I would also suggest Harbor Club (just a tad glitzy) or Old Field Club (Definitely NOT glitzy--definitely 'homey' feeling). Both are on the water.
