Hand canceling invitations

Definitely call ahead to your post office .. at least this is what I have done. I was lucky enough to get the supervisor, and she said they would give me the 'plug' and let me do it - in the office, of course! :) She told me to just tell them I spoke to the supervisor, and gave me her name. Cool! I totally recommend trying to call ahead. P.S. - I can`t believe that post office charged past X amount of invitations. I know it`s only 5 cents each, but...money is money. I guess even in the case of the Post Office it helps to shop around. :)

Depends on the office-- and I was told it was illegal for them to give you the stamp to do it yourself-- it does look nicer if you can get it done Laura

I also read that you can send all your invitations to towns that have cute names and they will put there name as a stamp. ie. paradise, romance ak, something in NY. I would call the place before you mail them though.
