hard to answer ?

Re: hard to answer ?

i would say no. sorry! you're the MOH, you chose your dress so you should have chosen something that you felt comfortable in. the request itself would really annoy me.

and like others have said, if she is not comfortable in a gown that she chose, what exactly does she plan on changing into?? If you plan on letting her change, i would get a really clear answer on that beforehand.

just seems odd to me and i would never ask someone whose wedding i was in if i could change - ESP if they let me choose the dress.

I didn't know she chose her own dress. If she was the one choosing it why did she get something she was so uncomfortable with. It's still a wedding, even if she changes she will still have to look decent. I can understand being uncomfortable, but in a dress SHE picked out??? I guess that's not really something you should be too concerned about. I would just tell her she has to keep it on until after the toast and then she can take it off. It is your day and this is what you had planned and the vision you had. I am changing my mind more now that I am reading other points posted by the girls hah

def agree with everyone else.. she is your MOH.. which makes you two close.. let her change once all the pics are done, and her toast... I think its nice of you.. maybe help her pick out her next outfit!

If she picked the dress, I don't know why she would have a problem with it....that being said, if she is uncomfortable in it, let her change but certainly NOT until after the grand entrance and toast (if she is doing one). I was in a BM dress this year that I initially felt great in, but the style of it had the top part sticking out....since I am top heavy, I wasn't comfortable with it and had them do a little tuck.....they did too much of a tuck and then it barely zipped....mind you there was no hook and eye on the dress, so it kept butterflying....believe me, I was really uncomfortable in it, but I ****** it up and wore it all day.

It made me feel fat, even though I had already lost 20 pounds at that point, but I got a lot of compliments that day and it is what my friend wanted!

I think she is going to change after the entrance into the RH, she just doesn't feel comfortable wearing the gown all night long, and I don't mind. I am just happy she will wear it to the church and for pictures.

As long as you both come up with a solution that works for you then there is no more to discuss :)

is the dress strapless and thats why its not comfortable on her? If so maybe you could let her add straps. What is it exactly about the dress that makes ehr uncomfortable? Maybe there is a way to fix whatever it is before the wedding.

She choose her own dress. I let her pick whatever she wanted, I just choose the color. I don't mind her changing, I would never want to stay in a dress I wasn't comfortable with. When I talked to her first she said she would wait till have the grand entrance now she says after the ceremony. I told her I wanted her to wait until after the pictures were completed and till after the grand entrance. I want her to be happy but I also want her to be my MOH and walk into the rh with her gown on.

Why'd she choose a dress that shes uncomfortable with then? That makes no sense.

I agree, it doesn't make sense. It was very nice of you to let her pick her own. I totally understand about being uncomfortable in a dress that someone forces you to wear -- but this just seems odd. Maybe she should pick a new bm dress in the same color that she is more comfortable with. I would suggest that, rather than her change into something that does not match the other bm's.

ya I agree with the other ladies. She chose the dress. Then she should wear it all night. Are there other BMs? Did they choose thier own dreses or did you leave it up to the MOH? If the MOH chose the dress for all of them its not cool that she is then going to change into another one. And Im sure you dont want all of them changing!! she at least needs to wait till after the speeches to change. But in this casse you have every right to tell ehr to s*ck it up for one evening!

Re: hard to answer ?

I have to say this is probably the only time I would tell the BM no. I am very relaxed with all of my BM....they got to pick the dress, shoes, hair, makeup. But seriously even if you wait til after the toasts and entrance....there will still be pictures of everyone on the dance floor. when you get the pics back you will say ohhh there's my MOH and she had to change out of her dress. Its only one day and truthfully im sure I will be uncomfortable in my dress by the end of the night but you deal with it.....Id tell her NO in a heartbeat.
