has anyone asked you how much your dress costs?????

Original post by DonnaPWhite1124

I was at work this morning and was telling a woman that works in my dept that my dress came in. Keep in mind I work with mostly men, so the rare occasion does rise to talk to another woman about wedding stuff once in a while....

My MALE coworker overheard and chimed in and said 'how much did you pay for your dress?' (he is not married, not in a relationship, not engaged). I snapped at him and told him it was none of his business.

Was I wrong? I dont feel comfortable telling co-workers (nonetheless a guy I dont know too well) how much my dress cost.

I don't know.. but I feel like people asked me. I probably told them though. I don't really care if they know or not. This question doesn't faze me at all. But I understand where some people are coming from.

I'm with you

I think only one person asked me... my uncle (who is not married, not in a relationship, not engaged).

I thought it was weird, but answered him, because he is my uncle (my mom's brother), and my mom paid for it and probably would've told him anyway.

Yes, several people have asked, I just say, 'more than I expected...' and leave it at that. If it was a close friend or even a female coworker who was engaged and looking for a dress or something I would probably share but other than that I feel like that question is up there with 'how much did your e-ring cost?'

Knock, Knock, who's there? TACKY!

Tacky Who?

Tacky the person who asked how much her dress was and the ppl that I barely know that asked me about my dress and ring... I feel like unless you are very close to someone some questions are off limits. JMHO
