Since March, we only work 4 day weeks and 20% pay cut. I am OK with it because I love having off Fridays. It is a big difference in my pay check.
If so, did you have to change your date or are you comprising on somethings?

Knock on wood.....no.
BUT, FH was laid off in November, proposed in December, and didn't get another job until February.
Also, I was just told today that they are closing one of my WW meetings because the numbers aren't high enough.
Unfortunately it's something that happens, and we adjust as necessary. I took care of most things financially while FH was unemployed. Luckily, his new job pays more than his old, so that'll cover the meeting that I've lost.

FH was laid off in Dec and just found a new job, we'll see how much money he ends up making.
Luckily we are always able to support ourselves on one income if need be...now hopefully we can get our savings up again

Yep to all. FH got laid off, we had to get married this past Friday and we've been rearranging other wedding things as well. It's frustrating and not how we wanted it but what can you do? We're going as inexpensive as we can in Vegas and calling in favors all over the place for our NY reception to get a decent deal. We're not doing a DJ anymore, we're building our own dance floor and cooking some of the food ourselves just to name a few things.

FH was laid off a week before we got engaged on Valentine's Day. THankfully he just got a job this week not in the same field but it looks promising. I have been tutoring like crazy to help end meet. Its tough.

Nope :knock on wood: not at either job of mine. We lost our grant for my main job which ends in December but i can transfer into another dept.

FH's job has cut back on his hours.... drastically. Instead of 15-20 hours a week, its on an 'as needed' basis, and since they are operating on a skeleton crew, its not very often.

I havent taken a pay cut or hour cut so thats good we didnt get our annual raises though this year. FH on the other hand was laid off like 2 weeks after we got engaged and is waiting to hear back on a job interview. We were going to get married in 2010 but after he lost his job we decided to push it back a few mnths to 2011.

I was actually laid off for two months before we got engaged and the day we got engaged i also got a new job!!

FH proposed to me after I was laid off. We are being really conservative... I don't want to change the date. I may compromise say a Sat. night for a Sunday day. But I posted ads on Craigslist and FH took on more work. We both have side jobs to save as much as we could. Good Luck!

i suppose.... my prior job was unstable after the fall of some financial companies... so i took another job and a paycut with it. but at least i have more security.

FH's job has been doing a lot of lay offs, but thank goodness not him. My job won't b/c we are a mass utility company so its unlikely, I'm pretty lucky.
