Has anyone canceled a vendor?

I haven't but thought about it. Depends on how much you have paid them, the cancelation terms in your conract and, if it isn't a matter that they are simply a terrible vendor, if switching is worth it.

If switiching saves you money, even with a hit on your down payment at the old vendor and you'll be just as happy if not more so then do it! Good luck!

YES!!! i cancelled my photographer last month! best thing i EVER DID!!

even though i lost my deposit (i only get it back if they rebook my date) i don't care. i'm so much happier with the quality of my new photographer. it's like a huge weight is lifted after months of agony.

Speaking from experience, if I hadn't been so concerned with losing my deposit, I would have canceled one of my vendors a month before my wedding when I was having major doubts about this vendor. If it gives you piece of mind,,,,,do it (as long as you're not losing a HUGE deposit). If I had not let my issues with $$ get in the way I wouldn't have had the problems I had on my wedding day. Listen to your gut, it's always right.

This is your wedding day, you do not want to look back and have any regrets.
