has anyone considered

wearing a hat instead of a veil? I have been told that since i have always looked great in hats, that i should consider this. I'm not sure and I haven't seen any in the shops i went to. Any thoughts?

Maybe you should try a hat with some netting.

My girlfriend that got married years ago , wore a hat and she looked BEAUTIFUL!!!!! She had a little veil attached to it so that she had it on when she walked down the isle!

i figured that if i did wear a hat, i would want a veil over my face as if i weren't wearing the hat. I just don't want it to make me look 'old' or too 'out there'!

do you have a dress yet? Its hard for me to picture with a ballgown, but would look great with a mermaid or sheath.

I would stay away from any type of lace hat, I can't even begin to tell you how many times we made fun of my aunt's wedding in which everyone worse these big floppy lace hats in the 70s.

I would say with this dress you should get more of a Juliet cap rather than a hat...

pretty dress!

I like the hats posted I think they would look really cute. Some hats remind me of a less traditional wedding, like a renewal of vows or something, but the ones posted are nice.

i like the small hat in the first picture - the image of the girls on Friends was in my mind too - i didn't want that! I guess i have to try some on when i get the dress in! thanks for you ideas!

I considered it, but never came across a hat I thought would be right. but if you do I say go for it!
