id love to do it like that to avoid children. i dont think there is any tactful way to do it though.

i think it says something like...

Mr. & Mrs. Stuart Patterson (<---- like my made up name )

2 seats have been reserved in your honor

_______accepts with pleasure
_______declines with regret

i think that this is a little difficult, your invite person will need to type all your guests out and the seats too...but i totally dig this way, and will prob do it

the only issue i see here is that if they arent going to be 2 then they still have to write in 1...like if you invite...jenn and guest

reserve 2 seats...but i dont bring a quest...

i think any way you do it there will always be those few that f it up.....lol

ooh maybe i should change mine to this. I have a space for accepts, a space for regrets and a space for them to fill in how many ppl.

I'm cool w/ my cousins coming as far as kids - they're 11. But i have a few friends w/ babies and i def don't want them coming. I love them and all but the last thing i want to hear on my wedding day is a screaming baby. no thanks!

Re: Has anyone done their RSVP's this way?

I'm currently slated to get mine done this way, as a way to avoid children. Well, I was going to do this behind FMIL's and FH's back. I'm sorry, but I don't think it's acceptable to be having families of 6 with 4 children under age of 12 attending a Sat night wedding...so I was going to do Mr. & Mrs. X, TWO seats have been reserved...

But now I'm probably going to scrap it, because will just cause drama, more money, and they'll probably just bring the kids anyways.

Re: Has anyone done their RSVP's this way?

Thank you everyone for your replies! I would love to have the actual names placed on the rsvp but that seems like it could turn out to be a ton of work...

i actually came across a past brides rsvp's that said:
___ seats have been reserved in your honor

___ accept with pleasure
___ of ___ will attend

___ decline with regret

On the inner envelope we are writing the invitees first names... their kids names will NOT be on the envelope so they should get the hint --
On our RSVP card, it says ___will attend___ will not attend
and then there is a space to put the # of persons...
But I have a feeling that will be calling a few people to let them know, the invite was just to them and NOT their kids... ugh!!

I am doing that because we are worried that some of FHs relatives will so invite more than allotted!
