Has anyone done this?

Re: Has anyone done this?

I have seen a few weddings where there was only a MOH and one BM. That is all I'm having. I can't bring myself to make decisions as to who should be in the wedding party. Just having my sister and FSIL.

We were close - only a MOH and BM and one BM and one GM.

Have whatever you want My friend had much closer male relatives, so she had one MOH and 'bridesmen'!

That's all we had. It worked great. No hassle over dresses, no fighting etc.

My good friend is doing just that. Makes it easier!

So much easier and cheaper. I think it is a great idea. I decided to keep mine relatively small also although there are a few more people involved.

my sister only had a MOH...one of my other sisters. It was just easier. She had a small wedding and I have 4 sisters and 5 brothers..so it was her way of scaling it down without pressure. It was very pretty..much more bride focused. I liked it.

We're having my sister in law for my maid of honor and his brother for his best man. FH's culture does it this way and I actually like it, makes it less stressful for me. I'll admit that I'm trying to see if he'll have one GM so I can have my dearest friend up there with me as well. But it won't be any more than that.

I am doing that as well. My sister is my MOH and FH brother is his best man!

We're just having MOH and best man since it's a small wedding.

i only having a MOH and one BH (my best friend and FSIL)- my fiance has 5 guys, so it will not be even, but I don't care.

we are just having two one each side, also. we might also have a flower girl. i think it makes it really special.

My sister did that, after we (my mother & I)pushed her into it. She wanted to do just a MOH, but we knew that she would forever regret not including her best friend as a BM each and every time she looked at her wedding photos. It worked out very nicely.

I have definitely seen it! Its fine! It looks just as good as if there was a big bridal party.

You do whatever makes you happy!

Its your day!

OKAY, I was the bm is a 2 bm wedding, and I personally, wouldn't do it.

#1 It was hard for her to delagate things since she WOULD not pick a moh. If she did, it is kinda insulting when you only have 2!! So it went like this Stacy would sign the marriage certificate, and I would stand next to her at the alter. Stacy would help her wrap her favors, and I would go flower shopping w/ her.

#2 It killed my wallet!! It's one thing to split a $1500 party between 4 or 5 girls, but it's quite another to split it in half!!

and finally
#3 Since she didn't pick a moh, stacy just took the rings and delagated everything. That wasn't a bad thing because I was laid back, but if you have a pushy MOH your bm may become resentful
