That the cake should be round because it means eternity?
When someone told me this I said well then if I get a square one then I know I'll have bumps in the road,lol.

i can tell you as a pastry chef, that's completely untrue :o) only the rings matter, symbolically. you get whatever cake you love! life will be sweet no matter the shape of your cake! - think of it that way!
