Yes I got the same BS with a photographer I checked out. Needless to say, I did NOT book with them and ironically, they still offered the same package for the same prices when they called back a week later.

Mine was a photog as well.... hmmm wonder if it was the same vendor?? Yeah, that sh*t pissed me off. I don't like feeling pressured.

FM me the name. Not only did they say that but I went with my mom to the appt, not FH so clearly I couldn't book on the spot and she went as far as to hand me the phone to call FH because if he knew the 'deal' I was passing up he'll be mad at me.

it only happened with one.. to lock in a special price that was ending in a week.. but we were over a week and it was fine..
but thats annoying.. i would have said.. what are the prices going to go up in 2 days.. if you love them then go for it..

Everything wedding related is negotiable!!! Don't let them pressure you. If the day is available when you call back, they will give you the price they quoted you. Don't let them push you around. Take your time and make your decision when you are good and ready.

Its like when you go car shopping and the jackass says, 'what do I need to do to get you in a car today'. ...and picture a creepy guy with a big fat pinky ring...LOL

I agree, there were 2 vendors I met b/4 said the same thing to me.. it is just the way to make you worry and book them at the spot.. Don't fall for it. Think about it first, then make your decision.

i dont think i would book with them...especially since i will be doing alot of the planning by myself since FH will be in Japan...I am not going to book anything on the spot without giving him the info and letting him discuss it with me first...

so i think they do that to get a deal you know to know that they are making money on you and not loosing you as a cutsomer but i am sorry if they said that to me they would lose me as a customer- i dont want to feel pressured on something so big!!!

but really i am sure if you called back a week later they would prob give you the same price haha

sounds a little weird to me.

Did not happen to us..although Duet did say we needed to book that week to get the price he offered...that alone made us walk out.

bad customer service tells you a lot about what you may experience with them for the next year.. go with your instinct and spend the extra money on someone better!

That hasn't happened to me...yet, but I HATE feeling pressured. Some have said to me something like 'what do you have to think about...it's such a good deal', but I'm not really a fan of that attitude.
We are giving these vendors alot of our hard earned money and our trust...I just don't like to be rushed, I guess.
If it turned you off, go with your gut.

Yes, it has happened to me with a few vendors,even catering halls. That is an absolutely disgusting approach. Unfortunately,these people are no better than used car salesmen. I would think twice about this place OR be honest and tell them that this kind of approach makes you uncomfortable.
