'You must book within 24 hrs or you don't get this price.' I love this vendor, but really don't like this approach. Has this happened to anyone?

Did not happen to us..although Duet did say we needed to book that week to get the price he offered...that alone made us walk out.
bad customer service tells you a lot about what you may experience with them for the next year.. go with your instinct and spend the extra money on someone better!
Thats true...gotta look at customer service as well

no i havent gotten that either but i wouldnt book with them because of that...im not to fond of shadyness even if i love the vendor

I have gotten '2 weeks' but not with in 24 hours. I wouldnt book with them if they said that unless that is what I truly wanted.

Honestly, I have heard that a million times from other brides but I have never experienced that myself. I wil never book on the spot. I always go home, talk to my parents and FH if he couldnt make it, and then make my decision. I am upfront with them also about that.

My chair company that Im renting from said this to me. I pretty much ignored the 24 hour 'threat' and booked with them 3 or 4 days later, at the discounted price we discussed. I think theyre just trying to make you make a decision at the spur of the moment so that you dont leave there and change your mind. In the end, theyre always gonna want your business so dont let them make you feel pressured.

I think that's a horrible business practice... I don't like being bullied by vendors... I prefer vendors that work with you instead of pressuring you to 'think quick' and book on the spot....

that is so unprofessional. even if i was 100% sure i wanted to book i would wait a day just to be able to talk to FH in private first. i am especially anti-salesman so this attitude wouldnt fly with me!
