Has anyone ever drove to Florida?

Our family vacations to Fla, were always road trips. I loved them and would love to do it again sometime.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Had to do it this Sept. when we got stuck in Florida and I had to start a new job that Monday. It really wasn't a bad drive.

Growing up we did the Adirondacks every year, by Lake Sagandaga. I think the amusement park was Canoga Lake. We went to this beach w/ a waterfall near Wells called 'the campsite.' Do people even do vacations like that anymore? It seems these days parents are taking their kids to Paris and Hawaii.

Yes, when my younger sister moved to florida, we rented a SUV from NY and it was my two sisters and I - we all took turns driving, it was a lot of fun actually. We had our music, pillows, cooler, stopped a few times to eat - Cracker Barrel, waffle house, and stopped during the night to sleep at a hotel so it took us a day and a half to get there. The drive was very easy - the only thing to watch out for was sometimes it rained Extremely heavy in some areas that we could barely see in front of us, that was scary.

DH and I love road trips. Thats why we took a 3 week honeymoon and rove cross country. Best trip of our lives!! We drove to Florida three years ago and had a great time. Drove straight through. We are going again in May. I can't wait!! I love road trips!!
