Has Anyone ever gotten married or gettin married at Oheka Castle

I was told the parking S U C K S !!!!!


Too much money to fork over for a weeding maybe if i had money to burn

I think if you dont use a vendor of theirs you get charged like 500 to bring in your own vendor, that su x x x but I must say its a dream in there. They have a package for couples that costs 15,000 to stay the night, Id rather spend it on a trip

It is beautiful....but pricey (I think I was quoted about $275 pp...on top of a hefty site fee). Also, to be quite honest - I LOVE Oheka and all and have dreamed about getting married there since I was a little girl (I am from Huntington), but...the reception room isn't anything special at all (IMO), and therefore the place lost it's charm because of that (I hope I dont offend anyone!). The grounds and other rooms of the castle are gorgeous though!

this was the first place I looked. Big mistake. My FH was kicking me under the table when the lady was giving us the price.

LOL - exactly...!!!! It's kinda like a mini - less expensive Oheka....

the grounds look gorgeous.. i didn't even look there because i knew it was waaaaay out of my price range..

Alicia Keys got married there also last summer. My photographer told me!! lol He photographed her wedding but wasnt allowed to share any photos :(

I made the mistake of looking there first! Big mistake! Now I am comparing every other venue to OHEKA!!! Does any one have any other (slightly less expensive) options?!!!!

If you like the mansion feel, try Woodlands, Glen Cove Mansion, or De Seversky.

I heard the same thing. My mom went to a wedding there this year. She said the food was so so and if you are paying 275++ the food better be out of this world. She did say it was absolutely gorgeous.

if u like the feel of the place...i wouldnt rule it out until u actually meet with them. we just went there so i could check it out actually ended up spending less there than we would at a different venue we were considering.

can it be expensive??? yes...if u want a saturday in june and don't bargain.

originally we were iffy about the food because of random posts...but they have spent time revamping the menu and bringing in a better chef. we were able to work with him and customize the entire menu completely.
