What was your experience like? Is this the one blocks away from 34th street (near the Macy's Brial Salon?

If you go, go early, they close at 2pm on the weekends and 7pm during the week. Don't ask why, it makes no sense I've tried going there twice but I always get there after it closes..

I'm going this Saturday... The guy on the phone said they were there until 3.
Did they have a lot to choose form? I don't know what to expect

I'm not sure if i'm talking about the same one as you but if I am, they're open during the week too and they close at 7... I don't know if they're open on sundays...I don't even know if I want to go anymore if all they have is samples....I feel like it's gonna be a waste of time...but FMIL is the one that suggested it..I don't want to offend her...

expect it to be crowded. wear as less of clothes you possibly can. I went there and actually found a beautiful dress. It was a Maggie Sottero which is similar (more sparkle) to the MS in my album. The price $800 w/ train n veil

it's Jasmine Couture... my grandmother is buying my dress and wants me to get a good deal so that she can buy everything (shoes, veil, headpiece, etc) Whne my aunt, her daughter, got married, they went there and my aunt found her dress there for like $600 less, so she is sure, that 25 years later, we will be able to find the same deal! So I am really doing it for her, lol
thanks for the info. I looked at the site before I called a few weeks ago... it's not very helpful

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS DRESS!! Once I tried it on, i knew it was the one!
theres a site with bridal outlets across the country and this is the info they had for bridal building:
This is the place where many designers have their showrooms and sales offices. Here's a little secret of the bridal business: Many of these showrooms are open to the public on Saturdays and pass along big discounts.
We recently visited the non-descript office building and were impressed by the prices. When you enter the building, you're handed a list of which floors are open that Saturday (This apparently changes from week to week). Our sources say the best pickings are after the twice-yearly bridal markets in April and October. Lots of samples are available at these times.
After a crowded elevator ride, we arrived at the first open floor. We visited several showrooms and came away with the following impressions: Designers are selling not only used samples but also are taking special orders for new gowns. Discounts for samples were up to 50 percent, while special orders were 20 percent to 25 percent off. In some showrooms, the designers themselves were present, showing off their gowns to brides.
Why do the designers do this? One insider told us it's the only way the designers can keep their best salespeople happy -- the commissions from 'Saturday sales' are a big salary boost.
Service varied widely from showroom to showroom. Some showrooms included alterations in the price, while others charged exorbitant fees. One designer was charging a flat $200 fee for alterations, no matter what needed to be done.
So, is it a good deal? Yes, with some cautions. Like any self-proclaimed 'discount' option, make sure you shop around to educate yourself on quality and price. Don't forget to factor in the price of parking and tolls ($15 a trip) for not only the initial visit but also any follow-up alteration fittings.

i havent been there but i havent heard great things about it. But according to my mom this was THE place to go back in her day. and for my cousin who got married 10 years ago. She bought her dress from here by a designer who went by Michelle of Australia. Turns out - shes now Michelle Roth!

I saw something about this, I think it was through either the Bonny or Maggie Sottoro site. If its the one i'm thinking of they aren't open on Sunday's.
