I work right by it, and brought my friend there to get her dress. She was very happy, the prices were reasonable, and they were able to work with her and the designer to get the dress customized, it was strapless, she had 3/4 lenght sleeves added on

Sure have.
It's a big warehouse type place but they have just about every dress under the sun. You're a little bit on your own, so bring help and pictures if you're looking for a specific dress (they just point you to the rack and tell you to pick about 5 dresses you want to try on). I wouldn't really go to RK unless you're looking for a specific dress or specific designer actually. The saleswoman I got was extremely rude and nasty, but that could be just a fluke. I went with my cousin who purchased her bridal gown there and they treated her jsut fine. I also purchased my BM gown from her wedding there and it worked out lovely.

i purchased my gown there in 2004 and they were great. It's pretty big and they have lots of dresses. My salesperson was very helpful and brought out dresses similar to what i was looking for.

It's really hit or miss. I'd try to go during the week if you can. If not, get there first thing in the morning on the weekends.

It's a really great place, there is a lot there, but it's true that you are a little bit on your own to have girls with you to help. They have so much, which is good. I'd just suggest going during the week if possible, b/c on the weekends they limit you to 7 (I think) gowns that you can try on while you're there.

I went to look. I went on a weekend and it was very crowded. If you go on the weekend- get there when it first opens! I tried on about 7 gowns (the 5 I picked, plus 2 more the rep picked for me). She was extremelly helpful and found a gown that I liked based on what I wanted. The prices were good too.

I went last week and was skeptical based on the mixed reviews. Nonetheless, i was very happy with the service. The person who helped understood my vision and it was great that everything was affordable. I did not go to RK Bridal for their affordability but this was an added plus ! make sure you go early in the week and at a not so hectic time. good luck!

side note: the dresses don't usually all come out at once like in a regular clothing store, they trickle in throughout the year. Stores that are exclusively run by one line (Priscilla of Boston, Alfred Angelo, Davids) may run differently.

I went...it was a little overwhelming for me- soooo many dresses packed super tight on racks.
If you go make sure you have tried on gowns before and have an idea of what you want because there are just SOOOO many to choose from that if its your first time you might be overwhelmed.
I went on a tuesday at 11 am when they openeed and I waited about an hour before a salesperson was available, i cant imagine what a weekend would be like there
they cap alterations at 300 or 350 and they will match any price you find- which I liked.

ITA with this. They have a TON of dresses there and I'm sure it can be very overwhelming. I narrowed down the designers that I wanted to check out when I was there so it wasn't overwhelming for me. It was a fun experience and it was nice to have the chance go through the dresses myself. I went during the week and I still had to wait about 45 mins after picking my gowns.

I just came from there and found the one. It sis very overwhelming because there are dresses everywhere and they dont help you until your name is called. You have to pick 5 then when its your turn they will look for more for you. They were really nice but go early. I went today...a monday at like 12 only 1 hour after they opened and i waited about 40 min before i was able to be helped. Also take someone with you who knows your style. I had to carry all those damn dresses and my pocketbook
